Zig zag the fence through those posts, and it might help keep them from pushing underneath to get to each other.
@estyria59614 жыл бұрын
Pigs are soooo strong. Just when you think you've got enough posts and wire connectors, double it. You might want to throw up a few strands of hot wire too as an additional deterrent. Keep up on clipping those chicken wings too, or they'll be snacks. Gideon is having an Albert Einstein day I see. Awesome!

we use the same panels for our pigs and if you cut the bottom horizontal wire off you make small stakes that you can push into the ground and the tie off to the t posts. It has worked for a year with ours.

Special with the new edition to family coming?

you need 14 ga fencing wire more t posts. wire the posts to fence at bottom the clips that come with posts are not going to hold. take my word for it. i have been raising pigs for over 25 yrs. put t posts on the gilts side because the boar will go over the fence to get at her. another thing I've done was electric at the top.

Try making a hoop roof for your raised beds, just take the top off when the chickens are done and reuse it every year, couple chickens per bed and you don't have to move a little tractor around everyday. If you didn't want to make a bunch of tops you could just make 1 and move it to the 1 you want it on, still better than a tractor you gotta move daily.

Do your research! The way that the male pig was searching for a way to go on thw other side of that retaining fence you may end up with the situation your trying to avoid especially when the female goes into heat. That pig was doing some problem solving which is probably an indication they're intelligent animals. Good luck and planning ahead. 👌
