A suggestion. My husband is from Pensacola. His mom had a greenhouse similar to yours. They had a fans which blew the hot air out at the top and panels at the bottom which opened to draw in the cooler air. If that worked in Pensacola, that should work great for you in NC!!

you should do a full farm and house tour. It would be cool to be able to see where everything is. I sometimes get confused watching your videos because I don't know where things are in relation to each other. however, that's probably just my bad sense of direction

Shade cloth might last longer if you hang it inside. My experience with a college greenhouse shade cloth, it was on the inside of the greenhouse

build the frames for the sides and screen them, you dont want the bugs at your seedlings!

Make triangle's and hinge them to the beam's then when you want it open you can swing them out to hold up the side's .

Great idea with the greenhouse to vent the sides. Wonder in you could rig a bungee cord or two to make sure the sides stayed up? Love seeing your kids working along with you. Thank you for sharing.

Defgo ventilation at table height. A Louvre style, slides over easy open or close one horizontal plank pull system is good and use it to harden off seedlings too w the breeze, so need open to prevailing wind.

Justin, I would create a light frame that pivots on the 2x4 studs going along the sides. That way the polycarbonate sheeting could be raised and lowered at will. No rolling up the sheeting, it takes too long to get the job done.
@chelemichele15244 жыл бұрын
I would think with it curled it would keep the rain away... unless or maybe if there was also high side wind with it.. Teddy looks handsome 👍👍 Have a good evening 🌻🌻🌻

Justin, could you make a triangle frame then put them on hinges attached to the roofing supports? Then all you would have to do is lift the plastic and swing out the frames. When you want to close them you could swing them back in having one side of the frame Butt up against the roof supports so they would be clear and out of the way of your benches inside?

Forget the roller plastic. Moms idea to prop up the plastic sheeted sides of green house is a winner.

4-6 squeeze clamps to prop the vents open. thats what i would do if curling it doesn't work. if leaving permanent for awhile you could just screw a 2x4 out the wall from the frame horizontally.
