Hey Justin. So I lost my son eight years ago, and have been hesitant to play this song. I finally built up the courage to do it. I have tried several others, but yours is the most accurate, easiest to follow, for me. Can't thank you enough!
@montydaniels10549 ай бұрын
@Sidney2007. Sidney I am so sorry to hear about you loosing your son. I can relate to what happened with you, well pretty much anyways... Back when I was younger I needed to borrow my Brother Patrick's car because my pickup caught on fire and was totaled out. Although he had bought a new van he had to ride his Triumph for a week, waiting for the van to be ready for him to pick up... The night before he was to pick up his van, and while he was on his way to my fathers, a guy driving in the opposite direction crossed the yellow line and hit Pat head on, killing him almost instantly. His death devastated my parents, along with my sister & her family, myself, ... I can't tell you how much pain I have been in since his death, knowing that I could have rented a vehicle, or settled with my insurance company sooner and avoid what ended up happening...

Most people aren't willing to work on something hard enough to finish it and get it right. They'll find another one and learn it half way and so on and so on. I know cuz that's how I was when I started. Guitar's not easy. It takes a lot of hard work and dedication to get good at it. Thanks Justin for leading us on the journey to guitar nirvana!

what about Marty with guitarjamz.com? he is good also.
@montydaniels10549 ай бұрын
@@michaelleija6607 I like Marty & all, but he'll forget to play/teach the entire lesson. Like: Missing A Chorus, or A Bridge, or last, An Outrol, Usually only 1 part is missing which happens from time to time, and I can't understand why he's playing the Tune different. Justin's just way better... When I run across a lesson being taught, missing one or two of the Song Sections, I haven't found any ''Part-2's", or any Continuations of the song on his site... When I'm searching for a Lesson, I'll have 2 Tabs open on my browser. Tab#1 will be on Justin's Channel. Then on Tab#2 I'll try and find Marty's Lesson. I do this so I can see if he's playing the Chords the same as Justin, and I'll say the past 1 to 2 dozen Tunes, that I've searched for, Marty doesn't play the Tune like Justin does. That just makes it too confusing for me... That is why I search for the Tune I want on Justin's Channel first. Justin plays the complete Tune from the Intro to the Outro, always includes all the Notes & Chords...

Justin, I've been playing guitar since about 13 (35 years, damn) I mostly self taught with books and tabs and got pretty good at playing songs without really knowing what was going on. I bought the theory book from your website and have learned more in 2 weeks than I ever knew. It is one thing to have playing ability and quite another to understand how it all goes together. I can already see how mastering theory will help me transcribe and improvise. Thank you very much.

It's all in your head m8, you can do it, unless there is really something weird going on with yer hands, but if you got 5 fingers and none of them are chopped off, you can do it. It does take a LOT of practice to get your fingers nimble enough. Just keep on practicing, you will get it eventually! I've felt the way you do soooo many times, but in the end, practice will prevail!

@brokenlampshade6 жыл бұрын
2 hours? Wow...I heard Ramblin' Jack Elliot once say it takes him 2 to 3 months to learn a song with impeccable timing and to master the nuisances. When I can play a song in the dark without seeing the fret board , I know I am on my way to learning the piece. It took me a week to get to that point, and it will take several more months before I am confident of playing before an audience.
