I've been tempted by this figure because it's Jack Nicholson too. (he went to my high school and is from my area of New Jersey) this figure might be the only version of him I could afford. Yes, the necks on both sculpts look a little long but that is probably supposed to compensate for the shirt collars. Thanks Justin!

1. Justin go watch the shining is an impressive movie 2. I'll love to see a series about horror icons 3. Didn't really like the headsculpts :/ 4. The phrase from the display base comes from the movie, Jack was supposed to be a writer working on a novel, but then you find out that the whole book was made up of that phrase

The tiny black and white photo was in the hallway going to the bar. Jacks character is the very front one you can tell by his smile. The movie is really good its one of those horror movie that starts off slow, then it goes into overdrive. Jacks character was hired to stay at the overlook hotel during the winter. Slowly during the movie he starts to hear and see things. That was the hotel trying to turn more and more insane. He's visited by the spirits that are still there, he also was a writer. His son has this ability to see everything that Jack saw. The son was also able to talk to some people telepathically. The called the gift the child had as the shining. There is also a sequel that came out a couple years ago called Doctor Sleep. The cup has Jack Daniels he didn't have a drink for a few months. When the hotel starts taking him over when he said "I would sell my soul for a beer." At that moment when the hotel gave him alcohol the hotel started to take him over. To me The Shining is a really good film, plus it was before he did the Joker. It would of been cool if they made the face frozen at the end of the movie. He got stuck in the maze while trying to kill his wife and son so he froze to death.

I love it! I painted more stubble on the more neutral head, looks PERFECT. Oh and definitely watch The Shining. It’s a slow burn but it sticks with you. Check out the sequel, Doctor Sleep, as well, starring Ewan McGregor!

I just stumbled upon this video and these head sculpts are pretty clear recasts of a balloonman sculpt and a rainman sculpt, the neutral face is a rainman recast and the other is balloonman, not sure how I feel about this

Background: Jack is a writer who gets a job at the Overlook hotel (including a bush maze) as a caretaker because it closes all winter, he moves to the Overlook with his family who begin to be harassed by the ghosts of the people who died in the hotel (since it is cursed), the ghosts drive Jack crazy and induce him to try to kill his family, Jack finally dies when he gets lost in the maze by chasing his son Danny (who manages to escape and reunite with his mother)

Either way, watch the Shining. One of the best things Jacks ever done and a true classic. Not perfect, but classic and helped set up the”mythos” of Jack. Just seems pretty odd to watch a review on something the reviewer has never seen and is openly refusing to see in the comments.

To be honest with you there are a crap load of licensed pieces that the likeness is off. Hot toys for instances has a tendency to release like 30% of there figures with the likeness offf. In my opinion. This piece in particular and for the price i think is AWESOME and i also think if hot toys would have made. I think i would have been only slightly better not by much.. in my opinion I also think its a Must have figure considering the actor as well. Jack nicholson is a legend and the likeness for me on this figure is a 10 for the price, but overall likeness desregarding price is about an 8.5 out of 10 overall. I dont buy figures with less than 8 on likeness. Any less than that then the figures can pass off as a cosplay LOL

The head sculpts are hilariously bad…the skin tones and especially the mouth open one. It’s comically open too far and the jaw juts out too much. Not to mention they don’t look like Jack. Compare them to the Hot Toys Joker. Even with. Makeup on you can see the resemblance much better in those figures.
