Life has a cure for being a workaholic. It involves ignoring an illness especially a viral illness of pushing on and your body getting confused between what the illness is and what your doing to keep working. Because your body fights back & it will usually fight the illnes but if your unlucky it will fight what your doing to fight on. So when the illness goes away, your body keeps fighting you. And if you stop fighting and sleep next your body is fresh and full of energy and ready to fight you again today. 2 decades ago I was a Workholic & a gym bunny. Now I am fat & I can barely walk a step. My advice if you get ill? Be Kind and Rewind your life up till now and let it all go. Treat your self as if you have been hit by a routemaster double decker bus. You might feel right as rain but your brain & body are lying to you. I know its hard in a country without sick leave but copy the Europeans and take a week off to catch up on bingeable TV, play games, cook yourself good food and treat yourself like you had been hit by a bus.

1)Don't trust your brain. 2)Start small, then nuclear. 3)Take advantage of Sutton's law. 4)Do more with less. 5)Prioritize deep flow. 6)Find "flow" times in your day. 7)Use a distraction cheatsheet. 8)Create focus zones. 9)Use work-rest timers. 10)Hire the babysitter (Rumsfeld matrix) 11)Plan for real, not the ideal. 12)Prioritise by 'Or' not 'And'. 13)Use the two-minute rule. 14)Book the scan. 15)Batch tasks together. 16)Eat the frog. 17)Leave tasks unfinished (Zeigarnik Effect) 18)Delete decision fatigue (with pre-planned choices). 19)Stay on the pulse. (This is deep) 20)Learn time-blocking vs time-boxing. 21)Distinguish urgent from important. 22)Sharpen the axe often.

After years of depression, I am finally starting to set some goals for myself and improve my life. I have always been interested in productivity. Even though I had correct notions of productivity, I would not move until I had constructed the prefect plan. Somehow, I had this illusion for a long time that there is a clear-cut route that should optimize everything. I later realised that no plan could possibly optimize everything. Every time you are choosing to optimize something, you are choosing not to optimize something else. So there is no real way to do everything and you have to pick and choose. I have been looking at principles for holistic development rather than any productivity at the cos of burn-out. I started this video, barely on advice 3, and I can tell that it is going to be good. Thanks for taking the time to make this.

This is perhaps the best productivity video I have watched so far that makes sense. I'm very lucky to have discovered this video. My favorite points were time blocking and boxing, stay on the pulse, sharpen the axe often. Finally I can distinguish between Google Tasks and Calendar Events, earlier both of them felt the same and I was struggling. Now I know the specific purposes Tasks and Events serve. Thanks a lot Justin!

Hey! Not sure if you’ll see this, but I had an epiphany. So…I took your course back in senior year of high school, but didn’t do well with it. Then again two more times in college, and still struggled honestly just with mindmaps for sooooo long. I totally gave up for a year and a half and went back to my hold habits. Fast word to now, I’m a junior in college and I finally understand 💀. Yeah…the processing time for that was wayyyy tooo long. Honestly, it wasn’t until I realized that it’s the only way I’m gonna be able to learn microbiology that it kind of clicked. Microbiology is extremely logical, so mindmaps track really well with it. AND I’m realizing that I can use it with other subjects as well- like history and really everything. It makes so much sense and it makes learning pretty fun! Not easy- but rewarding and fulfilling in a way I haven’t felt in a while. I just want to say thank you for your hard work and dedication to this field and I wish this was taught in school at some point. It’s hard to unlearn bad habits but the moment you learn the good habits, it makes everything else worth it.

Congrats on the 1M subs, Dr Sung! Digging the new format! The stories and catchy phrases like "keep your hand on the pulse" make it so much easier to archive and retrieve information! I wouldn't mind on occasion something case-specific like the mind-maps episode you did about 6 months ago. Such things are more difficult for me to commit to than generalized information that's easily made relevant by virtue of its individual components, but I find them just as valuable. 🤟

One trick I use is to set a timer for 5 minutes the second that I enter into a task that I want to stay engaged with, and when the timer goes off, I am hoping that I am still engaged in that same task. Setting a timer for 5 minutes to get myself into that task and working on it is a great tool too! Say you're procrastinating on something, and you know you need to be working on it, well you hit the timer, 5 minutes, you must be in that task fully engaged at the end of that timer.

I've spent three months watching his videos, and I've come to a crucial realization: while they provide a surface-level overview, they don't deliver the depth or practical insights I was hoping for. This experience feels like a missed opportunity for genuine learning. During his webinar, he mentioned that his KZbin content is intended to be a teaser for his company, reaching out to a broader audience. I appreciate the effort, but I believe that the 1 million viewers who see these videos deserve more than just a trailer. This gives birth to True Love, Peace, Happiness, Creativity, & Clarity, for the very first time. Not the love, peace, happiness, that the I, the me, the self, the thinker, the mind, imagines it to be, which is a limitation, imitation, and distortion. For the very first time, Soul is happening, Spirit is happening, Heart is happening. It is not temporary. It is happening in each & every moment of daily life, 24/7. It does not take time. It has nothing whatsoever to do with time, effort, or choice. It occurs faster than the speed of light. The children are ready to be set Totally Free at the earliest age so they don't waste their whole life with any mental/emotional disturbances.

It certainly raises questions about the feasibility of such a claim.

Hi justin😊, I really appreciate your reviews on note-taking apps and your deep insights into what makes a great app. I’m working on a new note-taking application and would love to get your thoughts on a few key aspects. If you have a moment, could you share your perspective on these? 1. What are the biggest complaints users have with existing note-taking apps (latency, performance, features, or usability)? 2. What features do users actually want but don’t get in most note-taking apps? 3. Would users pay for a better note-taking app? If yes, what features would make them subscribe? 4. How do current top-performing note-taking apps optimize performance and responsiveness? 5. What’s the biggest challenge in launching a new note-taking app today? If you're available, I’d love to discuss this in more detail. Your insights would be incredibly valuable in shaping something truly useful for users. Thanks in advance for your time! Looking forward to hearing your thoughts.
