This song is a classic and so is the video! You feel every word she’s says, especially at the climax when the tears start falling. I’m sure nobody really saw that coming their first time seeing this video but when it happened, she got you hook, line, and sinker. You almost wanted to jump through the TV screen to give her a hug... Again, CLASSIC!

I believe that film noir is the term you were looking for. They used do that in suspense/thriller movies like ‘Casablanca’, and ‘Psycho’ and old TV shows like ‘Peter Gunn’, ‘The Twilight Zone’ and so on. Mostly closeup (or far-away) shots at strange angles and whatnot.

In 1990, nearly all the album I bought were hip hop, but I also got Sinead O’Connor’s debut. The best song in the album is Black Boys On Mopeds, I highly recommend it.

The whole album is very thought provoking and out spoken and this is not the best track on the album either! People who speak their mind like she did are silenced by media as we see & hear every day now! The first song on this album(Feel So Different) is more revealing about who she is and were she was at the time she made the album & songs like Black Boys On Mopeds were about her views of politics & the British Government's Rule over the lives of people that were that brought consequences on the poor in British ruled countries. I will always love her spirit. 💜☮

This video is beautiful. But this song....eh... The layering of her voice....that large gothic sounding echo...it all seemed like devices used to make the song sound bigger. The emotion in this song....didn't need it. I would have loved it if she did this a little more stripped like Chris Cornell did.....I know I'm going to be dodging y'alls rocks for this.....but it is what it is...
