This has been the year of gap years and unexpected plans - so what do you need to know before taking time off from school? I detail my gap year experience (most of which I vlogged) and answer a bunch of questions yall asked on the gram!
I know I'm no longer in college and I haven't posted a college related video for a while, but I hope anyone considering a gap year finds this helpful:) Looking back as a recent grad, I'm definitely thankful for the time I took off and how I was able to use it.

your graduation date doesn't define you 👏👏👏 especially in engineering, I have older coworkers who are junior to me and younger coworkers that are more senior than me, but it literally makes no difference in how we interact and how effective we are at our jobs!

I have a question is anyone can answer. After researching all these Ivy League schools, I’m not really sure that I’m gonna be happy at any of them. Just the location and all the stress of being at a top school in the nation seem really bad for me cause I tend to have bad mental health issues under those predicaments :/ but my parents still want me to apply and are telling me it’ll be worth it because they’re Ivy leagues. Should I apply and go if I get in or go to somewhere that I’ll know I’ll actually enjoy?

this is just a good q! just from my personal perspective, my priority is always mental health and finding the environment that will allow you to flourish because I believe that's how we'll be able to find our greatest potential! I always try to emphasize that dartmouth/ the ivy league is not for everyone and there are a LOT of issues with these schools. It's definitely tough with parental pressure, but just from what I've seen of friends, finding a healthy environment will allow you to actually learn the best. This is obviously just coming from my experience though, so I'd love to hear what others have to say on this too!

I was an economics modified with film major (it was a custom major) and then a digital arts minor
