My uncle owes us around maybe 20k, which is just money yes-but the point is he literally said "i was screwed over, so i screwed over you. its the way the world works" and basically admitted to planning to never pay us back. We always hear from family to forgive him, but you cant forgive someone that doesnt ask for forgiveness. (we wouldnt have minded if he couldnt pay, times can be tough, its his intentions and actions that hurt). You gotta swallow your own ego, be open, admit wrong. Life is too short. if he showed care or regret over either owing or screwing us over, we would be able to move on. But he has done nothing. So what? we are just supposed to try to build the bridge between us by ourselves? no. And when someone wrongs you, u dont reach out and be like "hey its okay." Because well u got used to not having them in your lives and if they didnt want to make the change, why would u want them in your life? Just because they are blood? no.

The only people making these things awkward are the people who feel awkward. Confidence begins within yourself. If you don't care, and are casual about it, the less other people will care. It's when you go to extremes for attention over it, or if you're making yourself look like a clown with overt self loathing, does it then become weird.

@Peace Out Critical thinking is the application of logic. The idea that someone who is 'too emotional' would sacrifice 100 people for the lives of their family negates the fact that morality is heavily rooted in emotion and that they are more likely to feel guilty for their actions than someone who 'thinks too logically'. The outcomes of emotional and logical thinking don't easily fit into binary categories, two people who are heavily logical may act in very different ways according to different sets of logic. One may see saving a 100 people as the more logical exchange in respect to the whole, while the other may see saving their own family as the more logical exchange in respect to the self.

It should be normalized to have had a normal life, with no struggles, a nice upbringing with decent comforts. So what my family had a nice house and i didnt have to overcome a violent family with heavy drinking or something? Do i have to have gone through all sorts of shit to be viewed favourably? Sometimes i feel like i need to start some shit for a few years just so i can say i had this and that tendencies, then ill change back so i can say i overcome my struggles and people will look at me in a better light right? @Joe: The difference between a bathing suit and underwear is one word: Consent. For example, I can go to a beach and consent for persons to see me in my bathing suit. But if I'm at home or in a public bathroom, or changing room and I don't consent to being seen nude or partially nude for that one specific instance, then that's the difference. Yes, they cover the same areas, but when I'm at home or in a changing room, I'm not consenting to my body being viewed. I consent to one for specific instances, but not the other for other instances. But that's just me, there are plenty of people who wouldn't consent to either, or who consent to both.

I think common sense is based on first knowing that people need courtesy, it's wrong to purposefully do wrong to other people, many people value money over everything else and ideas like that. Those are the basics. And then the common sense part is a product of critical thinking. Use the basics to make everyday decisions. Like, knowing you have a young child-- most, if not all, young kids are naturally more vulnerable-- you'll pick them up from school instead of making them walk home, because your town isn't the safest. Or filling up the gas tank before taking a longer than normal drive. Or not picking a fight with a person twice your size. Kids need a lot of patience because literally EVERYTHING is new to them. But teaching them the basics and then teaching critical thinking is what produces what we know as common sense. It seems crazy when a grownup person doesn't seem to have common sense because their foundational knowledge is missing and that's difficult to fathom.

I feel bad for Joe that he had to go through that in his childhood. It's a bit ironic that he's being punished for not understanding what something is AS A CHILD. One of the main parts of being a child is having different experiences and learning about yourself and the world around you. A lot of times people forget that children are CHILDREN. They haven't been in the world that long. It's easy for adults to place adult expectations on children. It takes more effort to understand the child's perspective and what children are capable of. I feel that the majority of the time, adults forget that what they know now is a product of all the experiences that they've had in their life. Children aren't born knowing all of these things. These things are what they learn as a result of having experiences - interactions with other people, objects, etc.

I totally agree with you on this. I was inquisitive as heck when I was a child but I’m lucky enough to have such patient parents who tried to explain as much as they could so that I would understand where they are coming from and didn’t see it as me having a “smart mouth”. I think that sort of understanding for kids comes naturally for some and unfortunately it doesn’t for others.

The Marcus theaters did $5 buck Tuesdays so when i get out of work at 8am, I'll go watch movies, gotta say I've watched a lot of movies in 2019 than ive ever done before then, and i went alone. So i just spend 10 bucks 5 for ticket and 5 for popcorn and soda, also part of the Tuesday deals. Usually im up at home anyways so i go watch a movie to get tired.

She couldn't be able to do it herself and now DMV keeps bitching me about that car when I tried to change it like 3-4 times. Don't they ever check the fuxking black box at the DMV? 🙄

@Heyitsann
@Heyitsann 3 жыл бұрын
What's stimming?
@HaruDoneYet
@HaruDoneYet 3 жыл бұрын
@@Heyitsann so stimming is like short or whatever for self stimulating behaviors. The behavior can be triggered by a number of things, like sensory overload, emotions, or lack of stimulus. Even neurotypical people do it but normally to a less degree. An example of a stimming behavior would be drumming your fingers, flapping your hands, rocking back and forth, there's a bunch of others. Making sounds too, like humming. Drumming your fingers on your desk is normally acceptable if nothing is going on, so that's a pretty much normalized stim. However myself and many others have to mask (meaning pretending to be neurotypical or "normal") because our typical stims aren't seen as normal.

just being related does not mean parent or family, forgiveness is great and it can be a very useful thing but forgiveness and love does have its limits, respect, love, trust, forgiveness, all has to be EARNED, yeah bro your parents fucked you over and were cruel, thats not cool--- they dont deserve forgiveness, id just cutthem off and move forward as best you can, and live your life, i have had relatives i had to cut off because they were toxic or abusive in some way or another

If my woman wanted to show nipples I would express my dislike or discomfort. But will ultimately accept her doing whatever she wanted. And then it would be up to me if I want to continue that relationship while dealing/accepting or staying upset. Or splitting ways. In my current case, I would definitely continue the continue and deal/accept. I couldn't care less about any non family members doing that though.
