Army National Guard is the same training as Army and the ranks are lateral. The only difference is National Guard protects the state and it's part-time unless you go full-time National Guard. When I was at bootcamp for the Army, almost 1/3 of the recruits were national Guard.

I thought Bart would share his recruitment story again, since that was hilarious. My sister was in the NY Army National Guard when 9/11 happened. She and her unit were sent down to NYC afterwards to patrol around the area of the debris field to keep people away. Thank you to Bart, Joseph, all those who have served and are continuing to serve. Thank you for all you and your families do.

I did marine and then law enforcement. Traveling and seeing the world is good. Some training and war in Iraq are bad. Money earnings are bad but disability comp is good. It all kinda balances out.

We used to go to Pensacola to watch the Blue Angels do their thing! My paternal side is army and marines and I grew up with Air Force and army kids. My husbands father was army and he was army.

13:36 After that comment, the tone mixed with the look exchanged makes me afraid to ask what trauma they just silently relived….but then they bounced right back to giggles after the subject change.
@bethnichols287510 ай бұрын
They didn't "relive any trauma". The look exchange was because they both acknowledged that they knew people in the military who acted like they were "rambo"-esque, that probably weren't exactly right in the head. Where the person acts like a training exercise is like actually being at war.

Just so no misinformation is spread, Marines is NOT the only branch that you have to do the boot camp for. You have to do it for the Coast Guard too.
@Mr-pn2eh10 ай бұрын
I thought all branches have boot camp
@bruceyung7010 ай бұрын
All have boot camps but not necessary you have to go through it for certain specialists like band members, doctors etc
@whodat91983 ай бұрын
Just so no misinformation is spread, they are talking about Marine Corps boot camp specifically. No other basic training or boot camp like the Navy is remotely as difficult in the US. Boot Camp is not standardized like a Big Mac, but specific to the branches. Any veteran from another branch that joins the Marines has to start over with Marine boot camp no matter who or what rank you had. Any Marine can transfer to any other branch without starting over except the coast guard because of their basic swim requirements being more extensive
