The refill hack is wrong lol it’s only tea and coffee (original drink doesn’t matter) and if you’re a rewards member it’s free. They can’t reuse the cups because it’s a health code violation.

I’m just here to bust this: • If you order a tall drink with no ice, it’s going to be weaker. When your barista makes your tea, if you watch, they put the tea to the bottom line and the water (or lemonade) to the top line, and when you ask for no ice, they put the tea to the bottom line still, and just put the water/lemonade to the very top. For espresso based beverages, a tall has less shots than a venti, and you’re adding extra milk, which makes it really weak coffee. Then, the Venti cup... they would normally only put ice from ABOVE the top line, but you’re filling the whole thing with ice. So you get a weak drink with lots of extra ice. It’s not worth the $1 or so you save for the effort... • the coaster thing doesn’t really work, but especially won’t when they phase out those style of lids. • the refill policy (which is only available at corporate stores in select countries) is only for plain teas and coffees... You can purchase absolutely anything (ie a refresher, Frappuccino, or an espresso beverage) but the refill MUST be a plain hot/iced tea or coffee (no espresso drinks, refreshers, or frappuccinos on the refill.. I used to go to Starbucks in the US when I visited there, and get an espresso beverage and then get an iced tea for the refill to go... I believe they can’t reuse the cups because it’s a health and safety hazard; they also sometimes won’t put a drink in your keep cup if it’s gross. They don’t want to have to touch something you might have coughed all over, spat in, etc, with their bare hands... not saying *you* would but people are gross 🤮 • I read somewhere that the venti cup of water with inclusions and syrups is meant to be charged as a custom tea now - they charge for the time it takes to make it essentially - so it’s not a cheap hack anymore. As you found out too, it tastes disgusting. • The tall in a venti keep cup hack would depend on what drink you get I think? Starbucks baristas measure everything with special measuring cups so they don’t have a lot of waste - but sometimes they accidentally add too much lemonade, or like the ice might be too melty which makes a frappuccino more liquidy, and if it fills the cup above what size you ordered, they’ll usually just give it to you anyway. • I’m pretty sure the refill policy states your refill is in the same visit, so if your barista is watching carefully, they will likely deny it. • The puppacino thing is real but some licensed stores and international stores charge 30-50c for the whip cream, so it might not be free!

@@its_griselduh oh my gosh. A venti costs almost 6-7 dollars. As a Starbucks barista you fill a venti cup with ice and then you put the liquid in and that costs $6. So if you were to get a tall and a free ice cup that was free then you could just fill the free ice cup up with the $3 drink and instead of paying $6 for a drink you could just pay $3 for the same amount of drink.

If you usually get a Iced Caramel Macchiato order it like this: Vanilla iced Coffee with (what ever milk or creamer you like) and then say with caramel drizzle and your total comes out to 3-ish dollars for a Venti instead of 5 for a Grande:)

yt.Adylene I work at Starbucks, A tall Caramel Macchiato is 3.75, a Grande is 4.45 and a Venti is 4.75 so if you were to do a grande iced coffee like you said the starting price with just the ice coffee is 2.65, so adding the milk, Carmel drizzle and vanilla is 3.95 with the tax (where I’m from) so you’re only saving .50 cents and it doesn’t taste the same because when we make iced coffee we use our iced coffee roast (it’s a powder with water) and just add milk to it, vanilla and Caramel, where the macchiatos get milk, and expresso shots on top with everything else in it

Former Starbucks Employee here 🙋🏻‍♀️ Here are my “insiders scoop” on these hacks: 1. Yes, tall can be poured into a venti, but you’re technically still only drinking the amount of a tall (or a grande). Not necessarily a hack. 2. Other than what I saw on this video, Not positive on this hack or not. 3. Refills ONLY work on hot brewed coffee (not espresso drinks such as lattes), hot teas, iced teas (without lemonade), and iced coffees. If you’re not a Starbucks Gold Member refills cost .50 Gold Member refills are free. ALSO, policy on refills is “Same Store, Same Visit”. Meaning you have to have been hanging out in the store, finished your drink and then you can go up and ask for a refill. Can’t just get your drink, leave the store and come back the next day and ask for a refill. SOME stores you may get away with cheating this policy, but most follow policy. 4. Never tried. Don’t know. 5. You may be able to get “extra drink” if you ordered anything else other than drinks that are in the shakers/measured in cups (such as Frappuccinos). If it measures in the cup, you’re gonna get the accurate size you ordered. 6. Store I worked at only had one entrance and exit, and we were pretty good about making ALL customers wait in line. Refills or not. Cause even if the refill is free, we ring it up for product inventory. 7. Yes, Puppichinos exist. Side Note: the reason partners can’t take and reuse your cup is for preventative Health Code violation. Just like when Mar went in the NEXT DAY with her cup, we don’t know where the customer has been with their cup, what they have done to their cup prior to a partner touching it, etcetera. So policy is to just reissues new cup to ensure no contamination.

Just so you know, pets aren’t allowed in Starbucks due to the fact that we’re serving food and it’s a heath code violation... service dogs are always welcome, we give out pupachinos, but your dog should wait outside. At our store we reuse the cups for all refills, I read a comment about it being a health code violation, though I’ve never heard anything like that and my district manager corrected some of the baristas not reusing the cups for refills 🖖🏼

Hack #6: Even if you legit-buy a Hot or Iced coffee, Cold Brew, or Iced Tea, you can get an instant-refill. There is no point in ordering two Large (Venti) Iced Coffees when you can just get 1 + a Refill. I've seen a customer come in with a personal cup, order a Tall Pike, dump it in her jug, then ask for a refill and yeah we do that. Edit: I'm a supervisor, btw.

From a former starbucks employee 1. If you bring your own cup, ask them to put whatever you are drinking in it and it's cheaper 2. (Doesnt always work BUT) if you tell them it's your birthday that day and are super nice, the employee MIGHT use thier discount and make your drink free! 3. If you have a friend who works at starbucks, you can use thier partner number and get hella discounts, even free drinks 4. If you know your barista really well, ask them if they have used thier bean mark out, if they havnt yet, they might give it to you and you get a free bag of beans! 5. If it's super busy in starbucks, get a hot tea or plain drip coffee, the cashier will get it to you right away! 6. The puppachino is free for anyone! You can get them for your kids, your dogs, and even yourself! Also you can ask for any size cup filled with whipped cream for free!

Barista here!! For the tall in a reusable cup hack, for teas and refreshers they’re made in the shakers we have which have specific lines for the measurements of the drinks so if you try this with those they’re already pre measured BUT if you do an iced latte or iced coffee you’ll most likely get some extra!

I used to be a Starbucks barista! Life hack that I didn’t know until I worked there! You can order any drink and as long as you are staying in the cafe to hangout you can go back and get a refill for 50 cents or free if you have the Starbucks app. Refills can be hot coffee, iced coffee, cold brew, iced tea, and hot tea. Get the starbucks app when paying because all of the refills will be free

for the refill: if you pay with the app, it’s free. you can get refills of the drip coffee, iced teas, hot teas, and iced coffees. my store only does refills if you have your cup but i guess it varies. also, i’m not sure if you can bring dogs in. it might vary store to store but puppicinos are a thing and they’re free
