I'm a big gshock fan, I've had one on my wrist as my army service watch, it still works and I do have a couple more gshocks. This one is definitely one of the nicest looking ones, without a doubt it's a watch I would love to own.

Finally picked one of these up this past weekend. A jewellery store in a nearby mall started carrying G-SHOCK's here in Canada. I was able to pay less than retail, about $110 cad after tax. Mind you these sell out instantly on G-SHOCK Canada, and they always have a disclaimer on the website that says, ONE PER HOUSEHOLD. So I thought I better just pick this up. I like the stealthy feeling to it. I do wish they added lume all the way around. I agree, the wearability as you mentioned and the simpleness of this watch makes it easy to wear day to day. Overall, for the price, this is a fantastic watch.

I got the one with the white indices for £89 before Christmas. Love it. No way does it look or wear like a 45mm watch. It's really comfortable and legible! Disagree about Bluetooth though. I have a GW-B5600 and the Bluetooth feature is way better than having to press multiple watch buttons when you need to set a function. Keep up the good work Jody.

I have both Black and Red. I bought them both at 20% off with free shipping. From a local retail shop. I was very happy. Bring on more color schemes. They look great on wrist in my mind. I’m a G Shock fan. I have about 10 right now. I also love the Carbon Core because of the weight.

Jodie, BT is no gimmick - it’s for all the guys like us, who don’t have atomic radio signal setting, getting the correct atomic time via our phones via BT....it’s very helpful to keep the watch spot on.

Nobody cares about precise seconds on a wrist watch. NOTHING except 8 o´clock news happens at precise time. +- a Minute a week works perfectly for normal life and business on which to set I use my phone of course. It´s like a mechanical hacking movement doing +- 10 sec per day. So what is the hacking good for after all?? Does´t make any sense

Agreed let the madness die down then pick up the same model your going for. Very pleased about the way they have redesigned the fit of strap. My other stealthy model, although small, tends to have a way too large lug to lug. Another reason to flip it for this one in the future. 😄

This is a Casio that I could get behind. I like a standard clock face, and not a digital one. There are some functions that a digital display works, and this watch keeps those functions where they belong. Great video as usual Jody! Keep up the good work, because we can depend on your reviews!!!

This is a fantastic watch. The crystal is so clear and the dial has a great depth to it. It is the type of watch that makes you look twice when looking at the time. I really hope they make a black steel version of this.

I'm in Aus too and paid under $200 for it at a Wallace Bishop in Brisbane. I don't have any issues with legibility of the all black dial, but will keep an eye out for a sapphire mod regardless. My biggest issue has been pitting/melting of the case and band when I sprayed my arm with mosquito repellant... I have tried a couple of gentle cleaners to try to remove the marks, but it looks pretty permanent... For a watch designed to be used for activities and the great outdoors, this seemed like a pretty big design flaw...

Got mine in Clear. And yeah it wears lighter. Going to mod it one day but not just yet. Maybe after the clear strap etc start to yellow then I'll go metal or a different colour strap and outer body?

In my country MSRP reaches $150, however, all the colors are readily available, thus it was a delight to instantly grab the blacked-out version. Incredibly happy with the purchase, wears amazing even on a super-slim wrist of mine!

I gobbled up a stealthed out version last year before the market went nuts and the watch single handedly got me interested again in non-digital watches. Kind of a Trojan horse for digital/G-shock fans. Now I'm happily wearing a a Hamilton as my everyday with the G's acting more as beaters and gym watches.

I got the white indices version with a 10% discount code for effectively £90, it gets a lot of wrist time. This has something *very* rare for Casio, separate illumination for both the analogue AND the digital display, which is a huge bonus over my other ana-digis (especially the negative display ones). I can live without atomic time as I already have 3 G-Shocks with that, but solar would get rid of the issue of a short 3-year battery life. I'm hoping the carbon core means we'll be getting a lot more lighter and slimmer G-Shocks.

Really loved the look of this watch and I was really needing a watch that could take some abuse, unlike all my stainless steel watches. I also didn't want a huge G Shock. Sadly like most every other person watching this video I couldn't find one for less than like $250! When I was in Macy's I spotted a GA-800 for $99 retail. It's got Analog and digital with just about everything the CasiOak has to offer with the exception of the analog day of the week. I encourage people to take a look at the GA-800 if you don't want to pay the ridiculous price for the GA-2100.

I was lucky to get the all black for 100€ when it was realesed 🙌🏼 I think it’s a great watch for that money, I couldn’t separate of it for a few months after I got it, but I must say it wears just a little bit uncomfortable because of the rubber strap incompatibility with my wrist dimension. I would not pay more than 100€ though.. there are a lot of great watches for the price they resell it now. ✌🏻

Looks like more of a CasioNaut than a CasiOak. I believe the pastel multi-colored one is aimed at the Power Ranger market. One of the biggest weaknesses of the lower end G-shocks is that the metal screws on the caseback screw in to a plastic case. That doesn't become a problem until years later, when the plastic becomes brittle and breaks down. The metal screws easily strip the plastic threads and then there goes your water resistance when you over-tighten a screw after a battery replacement. Can't tell from the video whether the screws go into the Carbon Core Guard or not, but that might be one plus to the carbon vs. plastic.

Great watch. I have the one with pale grey hour markers which is very legible. I agree that BT is really a gimmick. Mine keeps excellent time by itself. Setting the date and time after a battery change is laborious, but that doesn’t happen too often.

I'm a bit slow to the party with this watch, but I received an email yesterday to say that it was in stock and available to buy, watch purchased within a minute of the email arriving. I went with the legible version rather than the 'stealth' version, not as cool but at least I will be able to tell the time. Another Casio that may be fun to review is Casio Edifice EF 10. Stainless steel case, domed crystal, 10yrs battery, date at 4 pm, decent explorer style dial with date at 4pm, decent bracelet, 100m water resistance, all for ....... 30USD on Amazon. Puts to shame most of the watch hobby and its right in the vein of sub 500$ channel.

Once again, a brilliant review of an extremely cool watch! I agree that the thickness of other G Shocks isn’t exactly a selling point for me, but it’s a DW-9052, easy to read (I know, I’m also one of those rare breeds that actually use a watch to tell time). I bought the GA-2100VB it’s grey in colour but the watch face is purple, blue and turquoise. Another G Shock I own ( I own 37 of them ) is the GA-900SKI, It’s sort of a candy blue. Then there’s a G Shock I just ordered and it’s very easy to read. It’s colours are black, white, gold with a little bit of yellow. It’s the GWG1000-1A. I’ve always found it hard to tell the time on a all black watch especially when the backlight is poor. I wish they could take a cue from Timex and come up with something similar to the Indiglo backlighting. As long as I have a Casio on my wrist I’m happy. Now if I only had 37 wrists, actually 38 with the mudmaster on order that would be a very bizarre fashion statement. One that would get the attention of the men with white coats and butterfly nets.

I ended up getting the midnight black version (or just the really dark version) earlier today and I won’t like: I think I’d enjoy the version of black with silver time markings more to actually be able to reach the time easier. It’s a great watch, I just wish I could read the time a bit better. However, it isn’t bad in most circumstances. Just not good for a quick glance at the watch to see what time it is.
