Honestly i think this whole event is a derailing because Apple's curse was supposed to be fixed after the fight with Griffin but instead Chip used his wish for something different. So now they are going to the Feywild to fix her curse and thats probably why Griz had to reference a pre written adventure.

After some thinking, Chip talking to Eden makes a lot of sense. He kinda doesn't have anyone to talk to, he can call Lizzie and her crew anytime he wants, he's on bad terms with Ollie right now. And especially Arlin - the last time he saw him, Arlin wanted to kill him. That's rough buddy. I can really imagine him overthinking Eden's situation too much and being insecure about it. This episode was an absolute fever dream, I love this arc! Hope Pretzel and Gillian are going to be fine

Niklaus was the guy who caused all the trouble at Zero (and most of the other islands) And the last time chip saw Arlin- albeit just a mental version of him- it was when he was ridding himself of the curse he got from that vice admiral

She doesn’t question it, she doesn’t stop him, she is there for him, she follows him and does exactly as he does… And Chip, the Moment he has some time on how own, he goes to the suspicious tent to look for a way to get to the hags, knowing they might know where Pretzel is. He goes back to the mirror maze! He also immediately just goes with the improv show idea… Neither say it but they very obviously see how this is a big deal for Gill and they try very hard to help him… I’m just very sorry for the DM, man has to ideal with all that bulshit… on the other hand he took Pretzel! He deserves this…

Haven't started the episode yet, the title is concerning, considering Gillian is an oath of devotion paladin. EDIT: oh gods, that's terrifying. Because Gillian swapped his oath, if he dropped the oath of devotion temporarily, that means he is now able to lie, cheat, steal, and commit any crimes the oath of devotion tenants are against. The world is in no way ready for Gillian without the tenants of honor, honesty, courage, compassion, and duty. Also, all his oath spells got swapped. I forget what level the riptide pirates are right now, but at level 20 with the vengeance oath, you can sprout wings and have a 30-foot aura of menace. This is a terrifying thought, especially since Gillian already has the dread helm, which if I remember correct, might also put people in a frightened state too. Edit 2: he's apparently a sorcerer multiclass. Idk much about sorcerer spells since I've only ever played a paladin and kinda glanced over the info of rangers, Rouge, bard, and druid when I was first going through the book. Legit know nothing bout scorcerers. But anyways, point of the comment is that oath of vengeance Gillian is a terrifying concept.

@@tylermcguire8785 they have to be over 13, otherwise Gillian wouldn't be able to do the warp thing he did with the pixie. That spell is a oath of vengeance spell you get at level 13, so anywhere above that is possible. If he has used "commune" or "flame strike" at any point, they they must be above 17, since those are the devotion oath spells. (And Gillian hasn't used many spells this episode, so no use checking for level 17 vengeance oath spells.) Edit: idk anymore. The only info I had to go off of is absolutely destroyed by the info Gillian is a multiclass scorcerer, since I know litteraly nothing about that class, _because I'm a new dnd player who's first and only character build so far is a teifling paladin with the oath of devotion because I thought having a cheerful half demon who serves a holy purpose would be funny and entertaining to play as_ I legit only have knowledge on paladin classes because I had to check a lot of loopholes and alignment rules.
