Even in the comics, it was barely a love triangle. Logan and Jean was like a summer fling, at best, compared to the relationship she has with Scott. In more than one possible future, Scott and Jean give birth to the Mutant Savior. Scott gets the short end of the stick in these movies because he's the "boy scout" and Logan is the "bad boy." Scott is highly respected in the comics to the point of being the Captain America of mutants. Logan had a serious relationship with a women in Japan. She is kinda in the movies but in a vague sense.

Facts. Nightcrawler is a literal representation of the phrase "Don't judge a book by it's cover" which ties in beautifully with the main themes surrounding X-Men, it really all boils down to prejudice and the impossible dilemma of Mutan & Human co-existence due to the power shift and it also has a double meaning if you think about X-Men 3 plot lines.
@distantraveller987617 күн бұрын
@@ct6852 That's because Nightcrawler was being mind controlled by Coronel Stryker's brainwashing juice that he extracted out of his son's brain. 25:37 this is a massive allegory for being gay and coming out to your parents. If it isn’t obvious the social undertones of X-Men is a commentary on society, especially for the LGBT. Loved this reaction ❤
@bryce25316 күн бұрын
Actually The X-Men were not an allegory for being gay per se until Brian Singer (for obvious reasons) decided to use it as an allegory. Of course this is FOX X-MEN and not MARVEL X-MEN so they did what they did without concern for comic accuracy or integrity.

Most of the extras playing frozen people were actually mimes, who are used to not moving. And unlike the first movie, where Rebecca Romijn wore contact lenses, this time, Mystique's eyes are rendered digitally. And Neil Patrick Harris auditioned for the role of Nightcrawler, but lost out to Alan Cumming, who speaks fluent German. Ouch!!!

One of my most distinct memories from this film is I went to see it in the theaters, and when Iceman and Wolverine were in the kitchen talking, the people at the theater stopped playing the movie and came in and told us that there was a tornado warning for the area, and so we all had to go into the theater's basement where they stored the bags of popcorn and all the supplies and wait out the warning. When it expired, we headed back up and started the movie again, and a bit later was the scene where Storm made all the tornadoes.

In the comics, Nightcrawler is indeed Mystique's son but they opted to cut that out.

WHY did you think it was Mystique? She doesn’t need to inject anyone to transform into them. She doesn’t even need to touch them. And he didn’t pull out molecules from his body. He pulled out iron from his blood, which is literally iron, like metal. That’s how he made them into platforms….
@plaguedoctor565716 күн бұрын
Because it’s safe to assume anyone coming into scene would be mystique….. hello? It’s not that far fetched
@CrownlessKing8816 күн бұрын
@ well even when I was a kid when I watched it I understood what she did. If she wanted to disguise herself as the guard that whole interaction didn’t need to happen. And he didn’t pull out “the guy’s molecules”, it was iron

Watch Twister. I'm not sure if Hannah doesn't know how tornados work or if she thinks these react differently because Storm made them. Either way go watch the movie Twister. 1996 and see how amazingly strong tornados act. and it is a great movie and even has a little love story in it.

Ash was spot-on. In the comics, Nightcrawler is Mystique's son. He inherited her blue skin, but his prehensile serpeant tail and teleportation power was inherited from his father, a mutant named Azazel.

What I love about the original X-Men trilogy is that the ultimate, final villain is hidden in plain sight all along and no one ever sees it coming. All the hints are there from the very first movie but they're so subtle that no one realizes it on their first watch.
