Morning drive from Lower Manhattan over the Brooklyn Bridge into downtown Brooklyn in New York City. Great morning for a drive! 24:40 the high rise in the middle is 9 Dekalb Avenue, Brooklyn's First Supertall Skyscraper. It is now the tallest structure in New York City outside of Manhattan and the first supertall skyscraper ever built in Brooklyn. • The Rise of Brooklyn's...
Starting Point: goo.gl/maps/y756H9B6atkGBott7 .
New York City comprises 5 boroughs sitting where the Hudson River meets the Atlantic Ocean. At its core is Manhattan, a densely populated borough that’s among the world’s major commercial, financial and cultural centers. Its iconic sites include skyscrapers such as the Empire State Building and sprawling Central Park. Broadway theater is staged in neon-lit Times Square. ― Google
Brooklyn is a borough of New York City, coextensive with Kings County, in the U.S. state of New York. Kings County is the most populous county in New York State, as well as the second-most densely populated county in the United States (after New York County). It is also New York City's most populous borough, with 2,736,074 residents in 2020. If each borough were ranked as a city, Brooklyn would rank as the third-most populous in the U.S., after Los Angeles and Chicago.
In the first decades of the 21st century, Brooklyn has experienced a renaissance as a destination for hipsters, with concomitant gentrification, dramatic house price increases, and a decrease in housing affordability. Some new developments are required to include affordable housing units. Since the 2010s, Brooklyn has evolved into a thriving hub of entrepreneurship, high technology start-up firms, postmodern art and design.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brooklyn
New York, often called New York City to distinguish it from New York State, or NYC for short, is the most populous city in the United States. With a 2020 population of 8,804,190 distributed over 300.46 square miles (778.2 km2), New York City is also the most densely populated major city in the United States. Located at the southern tip of the State of New York, the city is the center of the New York metropolitan area, the largest metropolitan area in the world by urban area. With over 20 million people in its metropolitan statistical area and 23,582,649 in its combined statistical area as of 2020, New York is one of the world's most populous megacities. New York City has been described as the cultural, financial, and media capital of the world, significantly influencing commerce, entertainment, research, technology, education, politics, tourism, dining, art, fashion, and sports, and is the most photographed city in the world. Home to the headquarters of the United Nations, New York is an important center for international diplomacy, and has sometimes been called the capital of the world.

Thanks so much. i like the fact that people bring their cities to KZbin so those of us who can't afford to travel the world can see. It's not the same as being there yet it's a whole lot cheaper and easier on the pocket to just see visuals 😄

The Brooklyn Tower (aka 9 DeKalb Ave) is under construction (@ 25:00 in the vid). At 93 floors and 1066 feet, it will be the first supertall building in Brooklyn as well as the first supertall building in a NYC borough outside of Manhattan.
@MK-hh1vo
@MK-hh1vo 2 жыл бұрын
What in your opinion is a "decent number of high rises"? As one of many Brooklyn residents, we think there are waaaaay too many high rises, we hate them. They are all *residential* . There isn't enough land space for all those new people. As long as they stay home we're fine but when they leave their apartments for any reason all hell breaks loose.
@noggin6870
@noggin6870 2 жыл бұрын
@@MK-hh1vo This would be a somewhat valid thought if there currently wasn't a massive housing crisis in the whole NYC area. What Brooklyn (and all the boroughs) needs is more residential skyscrapers. Many, many more.

@@MK-hh1vo speak for yourself but we need new housing desperately especially Brooklyn. Brooklyn increased in population by 200% between 2010 and 2020 and has the similar population size as Chicago. we need the housing desperately.

@@romanzodziej96 i see new infinity in Germany but there are few ,the sedans you mentioned do not have much appeal, especially in Europe, but the market is dominated by Mid-size SUVs and crossovers, the equivalent of the Maxima was the Primera, and the Accord until 2005-2009 was present in all markets,now with globalization and to save on the production process there is a tendency to standardize all over the world, with a few exceptions the cars are all similar
