Reality of Travel Sponsorship

"Why don't you get a sponsorship from duh duh duh company for your trip?", so many friends told me. I did email to one company and received no reply. It is ok. The fate of my 2 years scooter trip wasn't dependent on sponsors so I left without one. As I travelled and met sponsored travellers, I realised that being sponsored takes away something from travel too.
Now that I've built a name for The Wandering Wasp, I have to consider hard even when sponsorships come knocking at my door. Sponsorship is not just about getting free things.
