Juvenile group in Towson, involved in multiple Friday night robberies

Baltimore County police are investigating a pair of robberies that occurred in Towson on Friday night.
The first happened at a bus stop at the corner of York Road and East Chesapeake.

It's been bad and getting worse... My Ex use to live at the Avalon in Towson and eventually moved because of the issues these #1s, as the city cops call them, were making at all hours of the night. Not just noise, but they were fighting, stealing, and harassing people.

It did not used to be. But it’s a new day and crime and poverty is the future of Baltimore County. More Affordable Housing is the future of the county and things will never be the same. And Johnny Zero is headed to Congress because he’s done a great job taking some of this slack off the City!

@@nmr20067 I'm confused at what you're saying. Can you please clarify? Especially about more affordable housing being the future? As much as I'd love to see more affordable housing everywhere, how should it be done and who would be eligible? Personally, IMHO, if you've been convicted of a violent felony or drug related felonies, you should automatically lose a lot of public benefits such as access to low cost housing. If you're asking why, it's because IMO, you're more likely to bring that neighborhood down. Really, does anyone want to live in the same neighborhood if there is drug dealing or violent crimes being committed?

Owings Mills is a crying shame in what it has become. My friends tell me about shootings, gun shots fired into the night. More and more car theft. Affordable Housing is around the corner from Mill Town Giants and people panhandle in front of stores until security runs them away. They have destroyed it and it’s only getting worse….

Times are changing. I grew up in Baltimore and always went to Towson to feel safe hanging out with friends years ago. These juveniles are awful.

They wouldn't be be able to get around if the transit system would stop letting them ride for free. They used to have to show a school bus pass or pay but since the pandemic, it's free rides for everyone. One of the reasons transit revenue is down.

In Baltimore the mayor is a Democrat. The city council president is a Democrat. The city council members are all Democrats. The police commissioner is is appointed by city leadership. Baltimore's AG is a Democrat. The issues in Baltimore are not due to racism. The issues are due to culture. They are also the fault of the Democratic Party. The last Republican mayor of Baltimore left office in 1968..

The posher part of Towson called Stoneleigh has been a stop gap do to house prices being really high. But it's moving in on you from the Parkville loch raven direction.
