Juyo/Vaapad (Form 7 Lightsaber Combat)

At last, I've arrived at Form 7: Juyo/Vaapad. It's been surprisingly fun, and thank you all for supporting me throughout this series!
Now that I have a bit of breathing room, I will (hopefully) be able to upload more consistently. Thanks you all for watching!

Juyo is extremely dangerous for the practitioner and his/her opponent. Extremely high levels of self discipline, perfect physical shape and mastery of multiple forms before even considering learning this form are imperativ. Darth Maul is the perfect example of what a dark side Juyo master is capable of. While Mace Windu is the light side embodiment of Juyo/Vapaad. But I'm pretty sure Mace Windu would eat Darth Maul for breakfast.

Sorry for late reply ;) but Maul didn't just use Juyo in the duel of fates. He used Ataru, Djem So and Juyo, and combined it into his personalized Niman style. Yes the Juyo component is very visible, but if he used Juyo only, he would be dead, since it has one FATAL flaw - no defense. That's why people like Jensaarai1, EvanNova95, and other notable experts don't call Darth Maul solely Juyo Practitioner.

The Original Chase There are 10 I believe. Form 8 is using the environment to your advantage. Form 9 is brute strength. Form 10 is a dedicated dual wielding style.

I agree whole-heartily. Nice narration, explanation, and lore incorporating. Like I said in another vid. If I were a jedi, My main form would be 2, but I would also seek a master of form 3, so that I weather the storm of Forms 4,5, 7, and yet be able to mount an offensive that would pick apart the lack of defense from 5 and 7, and still dictate the the fight against a form 4 by either keeping them grounded or looking to force them to the air where their blade defense would be all but null.

Darth Sidious noted in the Jedi Path that Juno was originally a Sith form. While I understand that are synonymous with lies and deceit I tend to believe him in this case. If I were a master I would be counted among those that would feel that form 7 should not be studied by Jedi, other than how to counter it. It's just too Sithy. I mean the fact that only 1 Jedi out of the thousands in history was confirmed successful in staying true to the light and the Jedi ideals while mastering it makes the point quite well.

I think that any faction should be able to use any lightsaber form, if I were force sensitive, I would use no side of the force, join no faction, use any powers that are able for use of any faction, and use Juyo.

The lore about the forms is somewhat vague at the best of times, but particularly when discussing forms 6 and 7. The below isn't an absolute truth, but my personal take on things based on a LOT of research. Juyo and Niman aren't truly "forms" in the usual sense, but more philosophies of combat, with Niman being much more in line with the Light and Juyo being something of a Dark Side equivalent. Both incorporate many elements from the other forms, and have shown no identifying techniques they can call their own. Both styles are, in essence, different ways to incorporate the other forms into a personalised fighting style. Niman is about understanding the relationships between your opponents moves and your own position, and finding the right technique(s) to respond, regardless of the form it comes from. It's about discipline, awareness and precision control. Juyo aims for a similar result using the opposite means, letting instinct and emotion take over. The chaotic unpredictability of Juyo is the reverse of Niman's attempt to harmonise with the opponent.

There is no such thing. You have to choose one side or the other, to think you don't is delusion and the darkside will seduce you. It cracks me up how after thousands of years of Jedi and/ or Sith and all the experience and study done how now people just think that anyone can come along and straddle the fence. The way I interprete this, as it was once described as "a form with no technique", is that Juyo/Vaapad is not a separate form. My interpretation (a more practical one) is that it is a level of mastery that can only be achieved by years of training and experience. It is reaching a point where fighting is second nature, muscle memory taking control, and your personal experience dictating how to approach a fight (where other forms teach you their methods of dealing with an encounter, such as "counter this with a thrust" or "jump over an attack rather than block"). This is why the three that have been seen using Vaapad fight so dramatically, there is no form telling them how to fight. As far as the Vaapad power conduit, I'm more in line with Antoine Bandele, where it doesn't create a conduit between user and opponent, as so many people like to state when pitting it against a darksider. The only conduit that exists is between user and their own darkness. The true difference in the two styles is mental control. One seeks to use yet control emotion, one seeks to let emotion flow freely.

Good stuff man! :) Juyo in my opinion is more original and deadly but only a few ever truly mastered it! Vaapad however, was a mindset only suits Mace Windu... No one else can master it except Windu, and most of those practitioners got mastered by it. Vaapad is even more unpractical(more easier to fall) and harder to learn than Juyo!

Kylo Ren, grandson of Darth Vader. Direct Skywalker lineage. Trained by Luke Skywalker and Snoke. Full of rage, emotion and confusion; perfect conduit for the dark side AND a form 7 practitioner if not master. What form did Rey use in their battle again? Uh...how did she stand a chance? Oh Kylo was hurt? He had just been shot after killing his father? That should have made him MORE powerful. The dark side of the force would have been BUZZING through him at that moment. He beats on his wound to bring the pain closer. His rage and pain at an all time high. Oh but here comes Rey who remembers the force fucking exist for a second and is somehow granted the power to bring down THAT GUY. Who by all means in that moment should have been as powerful as anyone in Star Wars film. (Dont even mention that Finn actually survived past 2 seconsa with him) Hell, his resume alone makes him extremely powerful. Finn, for the stories sake and to be consistent in the star wars universe, should have been killed almost immediately. Rey should have had a limb cut off and been spared by Kylo so he could give her a chance to join him. But NO the most insane thing in Star Wars happens and a random force sensitive girl suddenly remebers the force exist and is able to beat one of the most powerful characters in the past 50 years. Kylos character is SO good. Its sad seeing how bad Reys character is in comparison.

Though by clear watch, we can see that kylo is a djem so specialist, though sloppy and completely inept. He has none of anakin's or luke's talent for dueling. It was most definitely not formed using form 4 and 5. It would be 1 and 4. Other than a few exceptions such as Kun, Sidious, and Zannah, the Sith only used 2 forms. 5 and 7. Which they referred to as “strong style” and “fast style”..... form 7 did not take on form 5’s strength attacks at all. It’s not at all the “most powerful form” , again, that is form 5...... Form 7 is just form 1 crossed with form 4. Not 5..... Read the Sith handbook and listen to Darth Bane explain them, there’s a reason they called them strong style and fast style. They were completely different from each other, but both the 2 most aggressive and offensive forms. Form 5 being the most dominating form and with master bladework, and form 7 was the fastest and craziest form using master footwork and acrobatics.

He probably used Ataru because he included alot of flips, Arial and force fuelled attacks. The reason why the Jedi couldn't react is he used a Dark Force Power called Force Scream which dis-orientates enemies instantly. (He did this as he leapt out of the chair spinning towards them).

I find it funny that people day they wanna be gray, but in fact we live in gray all our lives. and we hate it, yet they wanna stay in it. being neutral all the time isn't good and can cause as much damage as being dark. We always go towards the light, not because we wanna be goody two shoes or anything, but because it's better. happier. healthier. people think they know what dark, gray and light is. But when they choose dark because it's cool or light because it's right or gray because you wanna be different, tells me you know nothing at all. titles are all they are. to truelly know the light is something that you need to look deep into. we already live in gray and darkness. to want more of this means you are just wanting more suffering and people taking your things. There's so much more I wanna type but I'll stop because I know I will and this is long enough as it is. Even anger can be used in a constructive manner, but is a dark thing. just an example of how complicated things are.

Humans in our world follow a similar moral compass and are not actively harmful to others. You are wrong. Grey is neither good or evil, and it causes no harm beyond stripping the individual in question of freedom (which both the others do regardless). You are wrong. Palpatine would no longer be able to use force lightning since you need organic hands to generate it. He would have to use force choke instead. He would also have to use telekinetic lightsaber combat if he refuses to get cybernetic hands. He would no longer be able to fry someone to death but he would be almost as lethal and dangerous as before.

I was really disappointed when Rey didn't learn Vaapad. I believed that she is capable of it, thanks to her gift of fury. If I rewritten the Sequel Trilogy, I would make Rey learn Vaapad when she finds a journal and holocron about it. I wonder if Windu made a holocron or a journal about Vaapad.

You seriously believe mary sue could learn vaapad? She wouldn't. She would be fueled by rage and she's completely incapable. By all accounts, she would end up like sora bulq. But considering how much of an overpowered broken mess she is, she would master it and be declared better than windu at the form and not fall to the dark side.

Luke used form 7 when he fought Vader but had to revert back to basic form because of it's dark pull
