The Z3 sounds best in my opinion. I feel like the mids and highs are a bit too strong on the D77 but i like the bass on both systems! Great video!

Yup, it was very loud but quality suffered alot from it. Was very mid heavy sounding.

If you want a ridiculous shelf stereo, you should try to get a hold of an LG CM8430. Super hard to find. 1200W and has a 10" subwoofer. By far the best sounding shelf system I have ever had.

Actually I've never even seen that LG model before! I really want one of those really old "LG Xtremo" stereos. Those things look like beasts! Have you seen those before?

I liked the JVC MX GT90. By far has the best bass and overall sound.

Yeah GT90 has damn amazing bass, It has made things fall off walls more than any other stereo I own haha. Although for overall sound I still give that to the JVC HX-Z3.

Which model sounds better in terms of bass, mids and treble? Z30 or Z3R? What's the RMS power of these models?

I would go for Z3, the bass and treble sound to be better balanced. I hope you do HX Z77 soon

Yeah d77 was louder but the clarity suffered a ton, and its mid heavy. Plus the bass on z3 is much better

@@TheJVCguy I watch the video, but can you next time adjust the sound mode if you can plus as well if it let you do manual you can adjust the highs, mid and midbass. my GT 90 and 80 sounds the best with the highs and mids on +3 with the midbass on +0 or +1. I upgraded the tweeters from Walmart (power Acoustik NB-18) just for fun and now it sounds a whole lot better.

Instead of using Stadium on the D77 I would try classic or rock, both decrease the mids a lot and the speakers are loud enough to make up for it, trust me. Retry this exact test sometime using different modes! Also, next time you test these systems..always use the same sound mode on all models. For example when you start the test use FLAT, or sound mode off. Also have sound turbo/rhythmax off in the beginning but always keep the subwoofer levels on max for all systems. Then when you try your first sound mode test, change both systems to Rock, then listen to each for a minute and then switch them both to another sound mode and do the same. After that turn on the sound turbo/rhythmax and do some more listening. You have so much gear you can get very in depth on these!!

I listed to this through my Gt90 and I get when you say the mids are overwhelming on the d77. It's overkill. I wonder if there's a way to tone it down. I do wish they used the good old 8" subs on the d77. It would move more air.

Yeah never been a huge fan of how the d77 sounds. Its nice for loudness but thats about it

if you want pure loudness an not much bass or clarity then go for D77, for best all around sound it comes to Z3 and Z30. both are honestly really great stereos but I personally prefer the JVC HX-Z3 a little more because it has more bass

How do the z10 speakers compare to the Z3 or Z30 speakers in regards to subwoofer bass and mids/highs clarity if you used the same receiver to test? For example the z30 receiver. I know you said the Z3 is your personal favorite for bass and overall balance. I'm curious as to the z10 speakers.
