That's just localization really, take the translated versions with a grain of salt since the japanese one is the "canon" one in most of Nintendo's games​@@ToaderTheToad

@@mouthwaterin AC has a weird deal where the English localization's canon is noticeably different from the Japanese (and Korean) canon (most of its differences hailing from the first game's translation) but the English/International canon is still maintained consistently across all western AC games Namely, tanuki -> raccoon, kappa -> turtle, and Saharah, Gracie, and Blanca all going from male to female. All of these changes haven't been retconned by any of Nintendo's localizations despite the changes being over 20 years old by this point

For all the dialogue I've seen from the special characters across the games, I haven't found much about them from the villagers - so I find their perspective very interesting! (And funny, in the case of Bob making the observation that TOM NOOK SASHAYS lol)

Yes, but just be aware that it lacks many of the conveniences that have been added in later games. The lack of storage may be particularly hard to adjust to if you're used to playing NL or NH. But still, the game has a lot of interesting events, amusing dialogue, 15-villager towns, and the best music in the series IMO.

Me too, I'd give them those games when they're teenagers I think, and they know that it's not okay to be so rude! The rudeness can be funny or entertaining, but too much sometimes for kids who will take role models from it!

Some of the dialogue options in Wild World are so rude/savage too. Like how if you don't want Pelly or Phyllis to talk when you visit them, you can say "Get back to work!!!" That is so funny to me

I think they just need to make the villagers in new horizons have more of an opinion towards stuff, one the of the main things in previous games is that some villagers absolutely hated a certain item and I think this is a good feature. In new horizons, these villagers no longer have that opinion anymore about almost any item (I think, correct me if I'm wrong) except if u give them trash
