Another thing that really kills them is that toyota, in all the lc and hilux ranges, do not fit full plastic wheel arch kits to the body which let's every bit of water from the wheels corrode everthing, especially when you are paying top dollar for these vehicles

I saw a pickup like that on the. M5 it was bent like a banana with about a ton and a half of large rocks in the back , it just folded. There seems a deficiency in the chassis protection of these modern vehicle, bit like the oldest land rovers were rotten as a pear so the military had to zinc plate them.

It’s 14 year old and done 140k and a guarantee that’s chassis never been power washed or been treated with wax oil or the like in its life it ain’t done bad at all

@@JWFabrication1 aw a no fine well guy a know had an 06 L200 that snapped the chassis and he drove it for another 3 months 😂

Excellent work guys. Fantastic repair. Looking at the old chassis, is it just me, or do they put all those random (unused) holes in the chassis just so it fills up with salty water and rots away?! You know, designed obsolence?!

The newer 2020+ Toyota Land Cruisers have plastic caps over all the chassis holes,far better for not allowing salty mud inside the chassis legs . The only solution for most of these chassis problems is to keep them well blasted with the pressure washer after each and every winter to not allow the mud to build up inside the chassis. I’ve a 2005 Land Cruiser and it’s very good and solid but eventually they all will rust but it’s all about delaying the inevitable 😅 + here in the south of Ireland our roads don’t get anywhere near as much salt as the uk in winter so our vehicles tend to not suffer as badly with corrosion

@@JWFabrication1It’s madness when you think about it….they could so easily galvanise the chassis right after coming off the welding robots and they would stay perfect for at least 15-20 years much longer if cleaned properly….im sure a £1000 to cover the costs of dipping the chassis wouldn’t be noticeable.

I was gonna say the Navara was bad for chassis snapping like that. The older model had the bad big end bearings
