I know we over analyze everything in World Series games, but I thought there were two plays that showed why the Dodgers beat the Yankees. Jazz Chisholm grounds to first, and tries to slide into first base instead of running through the base. He is out by a hair. Mookie Betts, gets lucky with Cole not covering, but he runs through the base. Those little things will win you or lose you games.

Dodgers have spent 5 times more than any other team the last twenty years and have led the league in payroll 18 of the last 21 years and have 1 ring to show for it. They’ve literally been in the playoffs 13 of the last 14 years and just now won it. Congrats dodgers on your billionth attempt at buying a championship. You finally did it. Had the best roster before you got Shohei then got Glasgow, & Yamamoto. You officially bought the league and have the best player in the history of sports playing for free. It’s like playing mlb the show on rookie with the salary off. And it took them 20 years of trying to buy one to actually buy one. Sad. And here they are bragging. It’s like the spoiled kid with a race car races 20 time and loses to pintos 19 times then finally wins and brags. K team that has more advantages then every other team in mlb. Congrats. Oh but wow they played the Mets and Yankees the 2 teams the majority of the year everyone was saying they should sell because how bad they were doing. Oh wow they also beat the padres who were .500 at the all star break…. Easy road for the most stacked team in sporting history. Roberts finally faced and the opponent that he couldn’t mess everything up against and a coach actually worse than him in Boone. It’s been nothing but a magic carpet ride for the dodgers since they won the lotto and got shohei for free for 10 years. When you buy the league after winning the division 12 years straight I mean. No one is going to compete with them when they literally have all of the talent. Padres have 3 all stars. Dodgers have 12. So let’s not even compare.

@warlordop71312 сағат бұрын
@@jorgejohnson451 That was on Rizzo and Judge. None of it was on Cole.
@jorgejohnson4519 сағат бұрын
@@warlordop713 Nope. The pitcher has to hustle off the mound. Cole didn’t do it in the first. Banda for the Dodgers taught him how it’s done in the second with the bases loaded and two outs. Banda beat Chisholm to the bag by a step. Then Cole expected Rizzo to stretch like Elastic Man. Judge took his eye off the ball. He was probably checking to see if he could double up the runner on first. He was thinking too much when they just needed to take the out. The difference is, Judge wasn’t being lazy. Neither was Rizzo. Cole was.
@warlordop7139 сағат бұрын
@ My guy do you know baseball at all? Rizzo could’ve easily had that. It’s called rushing the base on an easy grounder. They teach you it in little league. It’s easily on Judge and Rizzo hate to break reality down to you.
@jorgejohnson4519 сағат бұрын
@ Dude, I know more baseball than you can ever dream of knowing. The ball was spinning and Rizzo had to adjust to catch it. He stopped. There was no way he was going to beat Betts to the base. Cole said he thought he could field the ball, suggesting that’s why he took the wrong angle. Horse hockey. Cole made the same lame effort in the first inning. He should have been reprimanded then, so that he would know his coaches were watching. When Banda covered the bag to get Chisholm in the bottom of the second, someone should have said, “That’s how you do it.” A pitcher covering the bag is trained at every level.
