The automatic trans cooler is in the bottom of the radiator and you can use it as an oil cooler if you want after the conversion

The auto cooler lines go to the radiator..change the radiator or block the bungs on the current one

Noticed that you didn't unbolt the torque converter from the flywheel before you removed the transmission. Normally the torque converter stays with the transmission. I did basically the same manual conversion to my supra on my channel if you need any help 🙃

Don't forget to replace the pilot bearing. Make sure the drive shaft fits, it might be too long if your saying that the auto trans is longer.

apparently you can just flip the auto crossmember upside down and it works with the r154 but you you need a r154 trans mount

No wait You have the wrong gearbox. The 6 speed is what you need. Jokes. But if u watch tavarishes supra build. there is a good conversion for a 6 speed gearbox that is very cost effective that involves an adapter plate ect.

@@unheimliche9410 the AR5 is essentially an R154 box, it is manual. @Callum Hennessy I believe the R154 is more popular as you can still buy them brand new from Toyota.

@@RexH no difference in difficulty really but up to you of course. They are identical casings with stronger and newer internals. Top and remote mount shifter options too. Plus they don't cost you 2.5k either.

@@Vaatzes its not about popularity. The ar5 is basically identical just with newer and stronger internals. You can definitely buy ar5s new as well but they don't cost as much and 2nd hand are cheaper than w series boxes
