JZX90 Subwoofer Install (OEM location)

If your X90 didn't come with a rear deck subwoofer, this video will show you what to expect in order to install one of your own. The amplifier was also installed in the OEM location (under passenger seat).
You should use a free-air subwoofer for this install but there are some conventional subs that will still perform great in an infinite baffle. This video explains it well: • Will my Subwoofer work...
The subwoofer ring spacer is 8 inches inner diameter and 3/4 inch thick.

There are a few Lexus models that have that mesh grill giver for the rear center. I would get one paint it and install over to cover the sub and it looks more like a factory install. 👍🏻 job

I didn't know that those 90 degree bits even exist :D Last summer I fitted a 12" DD on the shelf of my 1996 Aristo. Sounds pretty good

That edit with camera moving away from the sub was fire 🔥 not going to lie.. I have gs400. I took mines completely out and put 2 12’s p2. No trunk space but i don’t care. I plan on putting a free air sub their again.

Hi..nice video..do u thnk i cud use tht same flat pioneer sub in my e90 bmw unda the seat..the factory flat sub's unda the seat needs replacemnt..the original subs for the e90 r expensive & dsnt sound great..so in thnking of replacing it wth the 8" flat pioneer subs..

Hey Gladwin how did it go with replacing the factory woofers with 8" Pioneer flat sub? I'm also looking for ways to have bass in my E90 without sacrificing the boot space, infact I'm not even looking forward to just throwing in a box in the boot coz it will cause too much rattle on the bootlid.

It came with the car but it's an Atoto A6 I believe. You can find it on Amazon but I wouldn't recommend it. It became very laggy over time and updating the firmware is a pain. Plus it didn't have a lot of audio features. I went with a Kenwood Excelon DMX905S and love everything about it. The iphone/android integration, response, and most importantly it had all the audio setting features I was looking for 👍

Its a shallow mount subwoofer but you can use normal subwoofer it will work batter and more bass
