The Cica Sleeping Pack is definitely better than the Water Sleeping Pack for moisture barrier protection, and has less of an irritating fragrance.

I have used the benton and the cosrx snail essence. I have to agree with you and just like you said, i love both of them! The benton one helped to calm down the acne inflammation while slightly brigthened my face (probably because of the arbutin, if i'm not mistaken). Whereas the cosrx snail, really helped my dehydration and skin texture. I think both have a great performance but if i have to choose one, i think i'm gonna keep purchasing the cosrx snail essence. Because of the size, hydration and suppleness it gives, and if i want to target acne or dark spots i'll just use other serums (vit. c/tea tree/etc.). Always love your informative content, Kelly!

Glad to have found your channel. So handy to get such a clear overview of the differences between several K-beauty products. I especially love that you address irritants like perfume and certain oils. You're really doing the research for us viewers, thanks! It's quite a hassle to check ingredient lists, trying to figure out how bad/good certain combinations and amounts are. One thing I'd love you to add to your video's is a (more constant) view of the two compared products. It really helps for me to see the packaging when remembering which is which. The Purito Comfy Water keeps my super oily skin more matte than any other sunscreen! The only one that comes close is the Keep Cool Bamboo Sun Essence (pretty much the same feeling, performance, oil control, but higher price). I've tried the Purito Centella, Klairs Soft Airy, Canmake Mermaid Skin, Biore Watery Essence, and none of them control my oil as well as the Purito Comfy Water.
@noora77735 жыл бұрын
I'm really happy that you included the snail essences in here! I already own and use the Benton Snail Bee essence, and I was always thinking should I try the Cosrx too... But maybe I already have what I need😊 The prices in Yesstyle are a bit less than what you mentioned (at least with the Gold member discount), Benton 10€ and Cosrx 16€ (euro and us dollar value are very close). For me the smaller packaging size of Benton is a plus because that makes it quite portable to take with me on travels too. I have felt that the Benton goes really well under makeup, so a bomb product!

Kelly, tea tree oil is actually proven to be helpful to troubled skin suffering from acne and pimples, despite being an oil. However, I have watched and read some other reviews in which the Cica Sleeping Pack caused some to break out, and I suspect that it is due to the shea butter in it.
@KellyDriscoll5 жыл бұрын
This is correct! Tea tree is also one of the few essential oils that are likely to cause irritation on the skin (in comparison to its other fragrancing essential oil counterparts) but it's still an essential oil so those who are sensitive should take precaution around it. Not sure about any skin benefits with the martini oil included.
@kevinjanghj5 жыл бұрын
@@KellyDriscoll tea tree oil is a very Australian product and proudly so! The soldiers in the Aussie armed forces tend to bring this oil in small vials for expeditions and exercises, and it is highly anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial. Heals cuts and wounds and scabs easily

When Jun Ji-Hyun was Laneige ambassador, I bought my first water bank sleeping mask. When Song Hye Kyo took over, I bought almost everything from cosmetic to skincare ranges, almost everything, there isn't a lot back then. I still remember when my husband went to S. Korea for business trip, I asked him to get a list, he couldn't find toner and came back with 4 bottles of emulsion instead ---- man, they ended up expired and trashed. Now almost 20 yrs down, I still don't look like any of them but I stayed away from any Laneige product except sleeping mask. So glad u gave me the go-ahead to not buy CICA as that's the last variety that I was going to try, I have rather oily skin.

I have been using it for three months. It has not helped with my discolouration. Might switch to the cosrx one because it has 96% snail mucin. Whereas the Benton’s snail essence it’s number one ingredient is water.

@KellyDriscoll5 жыл бұрын
There's actually different ingredient list laws that benton follows that requires them to total the amount of water in *each* ingredient and the total percentage is what determines the placement of water on the list. So the natural water contained in the snail, allantoin, niacinamide etc plus the added water to the formula is why the water is listed before the snail. Benton has provided information about this on their website here www.bentoncosmetics.com/article/notice/1/11373
@KellyDriscoll5 жыл бұрын
Not sure what kind of discoloration you are looking to address but snail is probably not powerful enough for you, you might consider products with higher percentages of niacinamide, arbutin or vitamin C for more aggressive brightening results.

I think you're referring to not mixing vitamin c with niacinamide?
