Her smile makes me smile. And her voice…I am born again every time she sings.

I've loved all the songs from this album since I bought it new in '89. I missed this Carson performance though. Sooooo Good!

Hi did - and never heard of her before. 'Blown away' doesn't even begin to cover it. A generational talent.

This air date was the night I stopped being a snob about country music and bought Torch and Twang the next day. k.d. was (and is) a bloody force of nature and I feel blessed to have lived to have seen her.

Same here. This performance is what got me into country music in the 90's.

Me too. I was a Brit Prog snob up when I woke up that morning but bought Torch and Twang (the first country album I've ever owned) the very next day.

Johnny was a hard nut to crack back in his day. k.d. must've really impressed him. Good call, Johnny.
