I bought one through your link. I hope to use it for some macro shots.

A very useful and interesting clip and review, Thomas, and your customary dry sense of humor shone through. By coincidence and because I was looking tiny mushroom photography in a nearby pine forest, I recently bought a Ulanzi VL200 rectangular (8W) LED and found it to be a delightful addition to my gear. In Australia it is much the same cost as the K&F Concept light in this review. I fit my lamp on a baby tripod (Ulanzi MT-11), which makes for a good combination. No magnet on the Ulanzi though, so if I ever sell my car to purchase a Leica camera, I'll just have to take it on faith that the body is indeed, hewn from metal.😉

Very interesting. B&H doesn't have it but I found it on Amazon (for US $28 including Tax) so I ordered one. Right now for my Orchid photography I have two cheap LED light panels that work well but you can't set color temperature accurately. I just found a setting that looks good and then measured the light temperature with the OM-1, and use that setting for White Balance when shooting my orchids. This works very well. (Auto WB has improved a lot these days and AWB also works - most of the time - when I forget to use the WB setting!).

Thanks for sharing! Indeed, inaccurate color temperature is a huge issue with many cheap LED panels. Another one is lacking CRI. I'm looking forward to hearing your experiences with the K&F LED. Best, Thomas

It's really bright! I will use it to supplement my existing lights - I want to put a light above the orchids aimed down. I think it would also work mounted on the camera but I have to figure out how - I wish there was a flash mount connector included.

@davidredfearn6065 Great to hear! There is a flash connector included - it is to be found in the small cardboard compartment. If you can't find it, go to the unboxing section of my review, it will help. Please share some Images via the members mail, I'd be interested to see your results with it! Best, Thomas

just came to my mind : does OM have same/similar night shoot red vision mode as Panasonic S series ? ( Nobody seems to care about this ? ) I use Panasonic S for night shoots all the time I prefer it by far over any Sony Camera I have ... but OM could beat both !?! )

The most important feature is obviously the bonus magnetometer feature. It seemed to me that your Leica only passed this test by the skin of its teeth.

Sir, you are spot on with your comment in every conceivable way! It took me three takes to find the magnetic part haha
