I'm late to this party - just discovering you Zachary Michael Also! Loving this - I was a recipient of the "Karen Empath Revolution" last year when I made a comment on Karen's channel about her purchase of 11 Michael's grab boxes that "this" (someone buying so many at a time) is why I can never manage to get a grab box when they go out. She accused me of being passive aggressive - I think I was outright aggressive but ok - and she looked up where I live to point out she does not ever show she has purchased Michael's grab boxes in my state. She ranted about me and encouraged really nasty comments as she opened the boxes on her channel. I'd refer ya to it but she has taken those videos down. So "grateful" for empaths like Karen in my life - haha ! I am no longer a subbie of hers and am completely enjoying your videos reacting to her. THANK YOU for all of this! So sorry for the long comment! Noelle

I can understand the idea that I don't necessarily want to know how every medication will probably kill me in a worst case scenario, but, like, I'm pretty sure the whole "knowing what will happen giving birth and knowing what to expect/do with your body" is one of those things that has helped us improve mortality rates from the days when we used to just let women give birth in a field.

1:22:15 That's the literal exact moment that this goes from Karen talking about being an "Empath" to Karen talking about her "Haters" And it makes literally no sense because Ana says " And you should be proud of your accomplishments... Don't let other people take that away from you" LITERALLY no one was trying to take anything away from Karen!!! Karen was the one talking about how she didn't want to show her new purchases because of how her audience may or may not react. But then it out of nowhere turns into that being other peoples fault and don't let anyone keep you down etc. What???? You're just making up an imaginary scenario and then getting mad about it in real life. They are literally just looking for something to be angry and upset about.

I grew up with the culture of advent calendars and it was common to open the one for the day in the morning before school and not all calendars contained items, some contained poems or similar with a Christmas theme, but the popular ones were the chocolate calendars so that you could have chocolate in the morning. It was such a highlight as a child to have the calendar to help count down for Christmas and it was so much fun to search for the number of the day.

Where I'm from it's not just older women, saying "passing away" is seen as more respectful than "dying" or other "harsher" terms. I understand it's murder and it's horrific what's happening. But "passing away" is always seen as being respectful towards those that have died. At least where I'm from (it's Appalachia but still considered"the south"). I hear it a lot wherever I go in the south and it's never said out of not caring or not taking someone dying seriously...just "respectful ". I say it myself and I'm pretty young, a lot younger than ana at least. And I absolutely take what's happening seriously...I just feel more respectful towards those by saying they passed... though when talking directly about what's happening I will call it murder/genocide but when directing it towards those that have died specifically I do say passed.

Yes. P Louise is problematic and tries to blame her problematic-ness on others for not liking her behavior and not buying her stuff rather than changing her behavior. No surprise K supports her. But hey, if she wanted to spend $300 on garbage makeup, that’s her choice. I’d rather save up some money to send to Lisa to send her to Sephora and get a makeover with products that work for her specifically from non-problematic brands. Personally.

hey bestie, another Black person here. ana is from Maryland. also for clarification, speaking with a blaccent is more than just certain dialectal choices or "speaking in a southern accent". ana has continuously used African American Vernacular English (AAVE) in numerous of her videos and cousin chats despite not being Black herself. ana chooses to speak in certain ways that are not in her normal cadence or tone on a whim. and while doing so, uses AAVE and speaks in a blaccent. not to mention the misogynoir that her and karen have both perpetuated in that livestream bashing jada pinkett-smith. when we say she's speaking in a blaccent, it is a well-founded observation and critique.
@wutarrwedoin
@wutarrwedoin Жыл бұрын
@@RachelEden555 I wasn't really talking about Ana in particular (and that's absolutely on me for not being clear). But there are a lot of areas in the south (and for me personally I'm talking about central Appalachia...also on me that I wasn't clear and just used "southern" broadly) that AAVE is incorporated into everyday linguistics of everyone, no matter the race, due to the environment those people are apart of. It's usually very specific pockets of locations now. AAVE and the usage has become more complex over the years because on one hand you have people discrediting it as "ignorant" or other vile things (same for Appalachian dialect) and on the other you have a lot of people who use it in an attempt to "sound cool/"relate" to their black friends..etc. It's also begun to incorporate different wordings over the years that derive from younger generations. AAVE is absolutely at the heart based in black culture, I'm not arguing that. But due to historical settings there's a lot of the dialect that's shared phonologically/grammatically in the south and especially in central Appalachia. Appalachia specially was a huge melting pot. A lot of Freedman arrived here and due to that things like double negatives, habitual and omited "be", them instead of those, done instead of did..etc became a part of the dialect. Yale Grammatical Diversity Project did a wonderful job at articulating all the shared traits better than I can on a YT comment. There's even some evidence to show that it was more intertwined in the south as a whole before the civil rights act when people started trying to "separate" themselves grammatically and psychologically from each other. The reason it's probably stuck so hard in central Appalachia is due to it being so secluded from the rest of the country (as well as the moral mindset of most people in the area back in the day). Linguistics is complex, and AAVE today is even more complex due to younger generations involvement with expanding it further. As well as those who do truly use it in an attempt to sound "cool" or put on an act. But at the heart of it AAVE and Southern/Appalachian dialects do go hand in hand in certain ways.
