O.G. Cutes interview from a while back helped save me from my own self destructive behavior when he spoke about recidivism and people dwelling in their own misery...Prescription pills, heavy drinking and gambling almost caused me to lose my relationship with my family, lose my truck driving licence and lose my relationship with God...Everytime I go to gamble, go out to drink or pop a pill, I think about the things he said in that interview and it helps me alter my bad decisions...I never met him in person but I would like to one day thank him for telling me to stop dwelling in my own misery and get my shit together 😂...May God bless him and may God bless Kev Mac for allowing him to spread that positive message throughout the world...I will continue to watch videos and donate money every chance I get, because without hearing those words from O.G. Cutes, I could've been watching that interview from a jail cell...No Cap!!!!

There's nothing l love more than this LA Tribe History but l must admit that l really do love that the OGs have a positive message for the kids out there. I have questions about why the BGF and CCO, Blue Notes and UBN could never get along or at least unite against Rival Sureno and AB Cliques? But then again when the Crips became the major group in prison, l can see how things changed. Great interview with some "Real" LA OGs who put it down. Much love and respect to one and all!!! Peace!!! #Salute!!!!
@brainoverbrawn34045 жыл бұрын
From my understanding, the Crips couldn't merge with the BGF based on fundamental differences, completely different culture and outlook. BGF being a true prison gang/revolutionaries with strict regulations and hierarchy wasn't suitable for Crips(especially younger ones) who thrive on being outlaws and gangstas. Even when they formed the CCO, it was styled similarly to the structure of the BGF, and it eventually fragmented because this structure was too rigid for a lot Crips. For the UBN, the primary objective was to protect themselves from the Crips...there's a reason they were housed in different modules. As Rocchead said in a prior interview, the Bloods were not in a hurry to come to the Crips rescue when they were outnumbered and warring against the Mexicans. Rocchead said he had to approach them and let them know that if the Mexicans succeeded in killing off the Crips, they were going to turn on the Bloods. Eventually, the Bloods joined the war. As it is now, given how racial things have become, the Blacks back each other up, irrespective of gang affiliation, when shit kicks off in the yard.

@@brainoverbrawn3404 man thank you for that. I was thinking something along those lines and l do remeber what Rocc Head said about the war with the mexicans. I can also see how the BGF program was a bit too strict for the Crips and ya should have known that cooler heads would not prevail. I also remember hearing Monster Kody mention this in his book as well. I guess my question would be, why did the BGF attack the Crips? Because of numbers-meaning that the Crips were outnumbering them? Now maybe the Crips came in there and disrupted the Culture that was already established by the other prison gangs? To me this stuff is mind blowing and l just appreciate everyone who takes their time to contribute to the KMV platform. Last thing: the answers to having Black People Unite are in this video and it may be a Dream? But l want to try and make it come true. This is why KMV is the shit because you get real truth from real people in this LA Gang Culture. Much respect and thanks!!! Peace!!! #Salute!!!

@@brianjohnson5771 Thank you sir! You are making a very key point, which goes beyond prison politics, to the broader spectrum of our people as a whole. We are highly individualistic people, which has some advantages and makes us a very colorful and lively people, but has its drawbacks when it comes to organization and commitment to a common agenda. There is strength in unity and we must internalize this principle.

Monster saw what Rocc Head and OG Cutes didn’t. The enemies didn’t distinguish between sets so when you hit one you hit them all. The OG’s should’ve understood that being black came before being a blue rag or red rag.
