Joe Rock Head continues to talk about his prison stint with Melle Mel and Kev Mac Videos as a hitter and member of CCO -consolidated crips organization in the 1980s in California Department of Corrections. Rock grew up a member of the Oaks Park Businessmen/Boys looking up to his uncle Bobby Joe Kitchen before taking the oath to become part of a new structure before helping to tear it apart and pulling the Compton Crips out the prison gangs.
This premiere was filmed in Oaks Park in Compton in May 2019 in Santana Blocc turf.

This definitely is the best series so far. Coming from the realest of the real. There's levels to everythang. You have your starters....then your All Stars...then your Hall of Famers....and your GOATS. I feel like Rockhead is one of the rare GOATS when it came to the time period he did time in, (late 70s thru 80s) that was the craziest period ...because the guards really were out to kill brothas...also they were betting on brothas and setting up fights to the death....just all types of ish. He not only lived thru that, but was one of the beasts in that era. And lots of OGs vouch for that! His name ring bells from the OGs. Best part is how he changed his life around after all that! Great great series!

Almost all gangs around the globe, inside and outside are guilty of that to a degree. Some are straight taking advantage and exploiting the youngsters with evil things in mind, some don't know any better and it just happens that the youngsters commit crime for the older ones. But that shit is all over gang life.

I come from a part of the world where these things are not common, I was led here by youtube and I have been watching a boatload of these interviews and getting access to a world no one will ever see. It is very interesting, and should get more attention. Its sheds light to a underbelly no one wants to acknowledge or give attention to. The life story of a lot of these OG's are nothing short of amazing. The fact that so many wants to make amends is a great thing. Lets not forget they did heinous crimes in their day. But being able to listen to them speak about many topics, is something that should not be taken for granted. A lot of stuff happened for things to reach certain points. Seeing them wanting to change the situation for many youths is a beautiful thing. I appreciate the work you are doing with these videos. Keep up the good fight.

It's rare for anyone in that environment to constantly go against the status quo and survive. It says a lot about the character of someone who commands that much attention to not fall into the power role of ordering hits. He always put in his own work. I think Rock Head already set a new bar for KMV even though thankfully we still got more to go. It would be living in the moment if I just shot him all the way up to the top without letting it sink in a little more though cause it’s so many epic videos. But he’s no doubt one of the greats already. This man is describing his experiences all the way back to the 70’s like it was yesterday. And his attention to detail and precision is up there with the best of KMV, and his passion and pride jumps out of the screen. He has mastered the art of providing critical information without stepping over lines with the ones that don’t deserve to be put out there like that. Thank you Kev Mac and Baby S Mac for this epic one!!!

*_U can’t tell Rock Head a thing when he knows he’s right!!! Not even the dude S-Mac can cross examine him to refute parts of his testimony. If he wasn’t hearing his “not his big homie” Mel, none of the other fellas had even a smidgen of a chance. He essentially said, u won’t lay this one ☝🏾 at the white man’s feet‼️ My man!!! Bout time someone of ours say it, dogonit!!!_*

Ain't it...this is what people don't get, this is social history, as valid as any other kind... On top of that its one of the best things on the net to watch full stop, someone needs to throw some money at Kev and S Macc and do a mainstream big channel version of this...

Great one Kev. I'm a strong believer that George and Jonathan Jackson were the brains behind CDC politics. Utilizing Marxist/Communist organizational structures especially with the Central Committee bureaucracy. In the 90s there was a prison newspaper called "Prison News Service," printed from Canada. The columnists were all names like Mumia Abu Jamal, Sanyika Shakur (aka Monster Cody Scott, ETG), Mtulu Shakur, Geronimo Pratt, etc. These were the last messages of political prisoners and the last stages of revolutionizing Crips and Bloods within the CDC, in my opinion. I enjoyed reading the articles of those revolutionary brothers. Rocc Head on point!

@Mr. Frank 'forever 40' Garret . Yes, from what I overstand. I know I was a lil rusty in my post but the Central Committee concept is purely Marxian. It was likely introduced by Cmd George Jackson & Co. In the early 90s when reading the Prison News Service articles the words "lumpenproletariat," "collective" and community "revolution" were common.
