Cake:
• 1 cup (125g) all-purpose flour
• 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
• 1/4 tsp salt
• 5 large eggs (separated)
• 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar (divided: 3/4 cup + 1/4 cup)
• 1/3 cup (80ml) whole milk
• 1 tsp vanilla extract
Milk Mixture:
• 1 can (12 oz) evaporated milk
• 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
• 1/4 cup (60ml) whole milk
Topping:
• 1 1/2 cups (360ml) heavy whipping cream
• 3 tbsp powdered sugar
• 1 tsp vanilla extract
• Optional: ground cinnamon or fresh berries for garnish
Instructions
1. Preheat and Prep: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13-inch baking dish.
2. Mix Dry Ingredients: In a bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
3. Separate Eggs: Separate the egg whites and yolks into two bowls.
4. Beat Yolks: Add 3/4 cup sugar to the yolks. Beat until pale yellow and creamy. Mix in milk and vanilla.
5. Whip Egg Whites: Beat egg whites until soft peaks form. Gradually add the remaining 1/4 cup sugar, beating until stiff peaks form.
6. Combine: Gently fold yolk mixture into the whipped egg whites. Gradually fold in the dry ingredients until combined.
7. Bake: Pour the batter into the prepared dish. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Let the cake cool slightly.
8. Prepare Milk Mixture: In a bowl, whisk together evaporated milk, sweetened condensed milk, and whole milk.
9. Soak Cake: Poke holes all over the cake using a fork or skewer. Slowly pour the milk mixture over the cake, ensuring it soaks evenly. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
10. Make Whipped Cream: Beat heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla until stiff peaks form. Spread over the cake.
11. Serve: Garnish with cinnamon or berries if desired. Slice and serve chilled.

• 1 1/2 tas (360ml) krèm fwete lou (heavy whipping cream)
• 3 gwo kiyè sik an poud
• 1 ti kiyè ekstrè vaniy
