But as per me who actually suffers mentally & financially are the spouses who got stuck in this abroad marriages. Where they loss themselves without an identity, nor friends, nor any family support… alone & finally getting treatment for depression. These are some unknown truths, which kept as secrets in many families. Once or twice in a yr the spouse pretends to be calm & just smiling always… u can get her real life. I may say never marry an abroad guy of USA, Canada, & Germany if the lady has got no professional enough working experiences & the country valued professional qualifications are not enough. This comment may hv gone a little deviation from ur suggestions. But I tried to say the other way round scenario, also. just to handle things for ur own family sake. I personally know a punjabi lady who is married , and she had another bf in Canada. And she says her husband knows about it and then before she decided to visit back home , she broke up with her boyfriend. I don’t know what happened after that, but it’s terrible that lot of women and men also do these things here, even people from kerala regardless of the gender. Sometimes it’s because of the kind of disrespect or less freedom that we have in our country, but also sometimes it’s because people find it more easy to cheat , and maybe find it more fun. So they just don’t care about anyone else. May be a lot of factors like money , for PR and other motives might be involved. Sometimes it’s frustrating and then it’s important to choose the kind of people and friendship here as you don’t want to keep these people closer to your family as most of us will be planning to settle in the country. It’s a bit concerning to see a culture shift like that.
