Thank you finally someone that can look at things objectively, I’ve never been exposed to kpop nor had any interest in the genre before my friend mugi who is a fan recommended I react to this. I can see how some may take my honesty as disrespect but it’s just me being authentic to my channel. Western artists LOVEEEEE them and all want to collaborate. USHER collaborated with Jungkook and put the song on his new album. Nikki Minaj collabed with them. Halsey, Wale, Tiger JK, Coldplay, Meghan the Stallion, and more have collabed with them. They have played on the Grammy's TWICE(maybe more I forgot), won 12 billboard awards, Billboard artist of the year. Spoken at the UN 3 TIMES, went to the White House and spoke about Asian hate(you should go listen to that), met President Biden, etc., etc. etc. Oh and they are the most humble and charitable artists ever. American hiphop audiences really need to put more respect on BTS rappers So many just assume they can’t rap, or aren’t real rappers, bc they listen to 1-3 of their main pop songs and make up their minds but have never stopped to listen to a single song from their solo mixtapes and albums, have not analyzed a single rhyme scheme, have not looked at any translations/explanations of their lyrics to understand what they are saying…..I’m just saying, if you’re gonna be a hater, know what/why it is you are hating, otherwise you’re just sheep.😂 Here is a very short intro to the rappers: RM: Main rapper. Started listening to hiphop as a teenager. His muse is Nas. He won many awards for poetry in school and he brings it into his writing as a rapper. Became an underground rapper when he was in high school (2007-2010) and before BTS he used to post his music on SoundCloud under the name Runch Randa (named after a character he liked). Main songwriter of BTS with 229 credits to his name. He speaks Korean, Japanese and English fluently and writes/raps in all 3 languages. His writing is usually very deep and introspective, but he has a very wide range, he can deliver hard hitting fast paced verses as well as melow and thoughtful ones. He has an IQ of 148 and ranked in the top 1% of Korea’s college entrance exams. He has collabed with Warren G (2015), Little Simz (2024), Wale (2017), Lil Nas X (2019), Megan Thee Stallion (2024), Erykah Badu (2023), Anderson Paak (2023), Juice WRLD (2019). RM has 2 mixtapes (RM, 2015 and MONO, 2018) and 2 albums (INDIGO, 2023 and RIGHT PLACE, WRONG PERSON, 2024). Suga: Started listening to hiphop as a teenager and began writing and producing. J-Hope has 1 mixtape (HOPE WORLD, 2018) and 2 albums (JACK IN THE BOX, 2022 and ON THE STREET VOL.1, 2024) Fun fact: Eminem had a concert in Korea in 2012 which all 3 of them attended together, one year before BTS made their debut in 2013. Right now, both Suga and RM as still serving in the military and will be discharged in June 2025, and J-Hope was just discharged a couple of weeks ago. @@DemiAqua111 translations are there as long you find good ones and read it enough youll eventually be able to translate the words in your head as you listen. it sounds weird but seriously if you like a song how it sounds and read the translated lyrics enough youll be able to memorize the english lyrics and listen to the song while remembering its meaning and its almost like the song is in english. for bts songs i dont even need to look up the translations anymore to tell people what theyre saying ive learned what a lot of words mean just from hearing it and reading it over and over. like the word Bogoshipda means i miss you and now whenever i hear the word sang, rapped or spoken in korean my brain says i miss you. it just happens if you give it time and if you really like the songs regardless of hearing the meaning instantly or reading it later.

As bts do a lot of genres now, they actually started as a hip hop group and evolved into a global pop group. I find all the b-sides by bts the best. FYI they sing in Korean, English and Japanese. They release Japanese language albums as well.

Personally, you probably aren't reactors I would watch, but even so I would want to give an advice for future videos🌸. First of all, the audio of the added video you react to is too loud, so we cannot hear you talk over it. And second of all, you don't have microphones nor headphones (which nothing wrong with that), but bcs of that we can hear the song playing from: the added video + the audio that you hear; and they don't seem to be in sync. I think that could bother literally anyone, and viewers may click off simply bcs of that (even if it's not about agreeing or disagreeing w/your opinion). Anyway, I do wish you good luck for the future if this is something yall enjoy doing :)!

I feel that the word hater has been overused, misused lately. How can you hate something you don't know. Yes, i can understand that their mv is not the typical semi naked girls kinda thing that you all loved in the west. Their lyrics are usually deep with cultural references and metaphors. The topics in their songs are related to them and other people in general. That's why lots of fans aka army find their music relatable. It's ok if you don't like their music. It's your preference😊. Although BTS started as hip hop group, their discography is diverse with multiple genres. You won't find any recent group song as since their military service announcement in 2022, all of them have been working on solo projects and released their projects consecutively during their absence from public eye. You can check out their latest solo release; RM - lost. RM were also featured in Megan Thee Stallions' single, neva play. Jin - i'll be there. Jin has been discharged from the military since June2024. He will release a solo album on 15th Nov 2024. Suga@AgustD - haegeum J-hope - neuron. I’m a 55 year old punk rocker who NEVER thought I would love K-Pop. I listened to it at first for my kid but now I am ARMY since 2018. I’ve been listening to K-pop since 2009 TVXQ and this has been the typical reaction from most Americans I’ve shown K-pop to. This is the reality of how Americans view kpop. Thanks for being honest and not putting on for likes and followers. I wish they were more open minded but maybe it’s just that particular song they don’t like. Try some different songs. I think Daechwita is a good transition song from American to Korean hip-hop. Even if you don’t like the song you can’t deny Suga’s rapping skills. You could try starting your friends off with less rap heavy songs so they can get used to the K-pop sound first. Sometimes people tend to compare it to American hip hop and it really doesn’t sound the same so they might find it cringy at first. Over time you get used to it. Maybe try ATEEZ, SKZ or Big Bang? Maybe they will like some of their songs? A lot of non-K-pop listeners tend to like these groups as well.
