Thanks so much for reacting to EXO! The meaning behind the video is part of a very large (and sometimes confusing 😅) lore and back story that spans the last 11 years of their discography! Some key aspects are that they’re beings from another planet (EXOPLANET) and each has a special ability or power such as lightning, teleportation, water, etc. in their back story, they have been sent here to save our planet from an evil force so in this video you see them somehow reversing what happens (I think they might be stuck in a time loop because they seem to be well aware it is going to happen, but that’s my own interpretation!) Anyway that’s the tip of the iceberg, you’d have lots of fun reacting to their songs! They’re my most favorite group and I could go on and on about how talented they are 💖

The storyline basically goes like this; a meteor is about the hit the earth and exo seems to know about this and they are aspecting it hopelessly. Normally they are supposed to save the earth with their superpowers, that's what they do. But this time they dont do anything. All of the members are separated from one another and even the ones who are together dont talk to each other and they all look upset. Suho is moving his house and 3 members are away from the city, chen is watching old clips where he was with xiumin etc. Maybe there had been something between them and the group has disassembled. Then, the meteor hits eventually and as soon as it hits, luckily, the time reverses back. This time they talk to each other, look more happy and friendly. This is my interpretation. @5:29 You describe one of the things that I have always loved about EXO songs, but never knew how to say. I love harmonies, but I have noticed a lot of Kpop has none/minimal or a lot that are all equally as present (like a choir). It's a cool effect, but I love how EXO adds harmonies that support the melody instead of just adding more layers to it.

@@LYREMusicGroup I mean, EXO are the best advertisement for your talent! They'll present the song in the best way possible, luring people with their beautiful voices. Now that only two members are left for the military service, I think they'll be more active in promoting as a group, not soloists. Ofc, art and inspiration can't be pushed 😉, but I'm sure all EXO members are always looking for good songs, for group or solo albums. Btw, have you heard their solos? They're all very different in style and sound individually, but each has beautiful vocals and top notch production!

Taking it as it is, the MV shows what is happening when an asteroid hits the earth : breaking down the everyday life, with the humanity completely disapearing, with them, our dear ones and all the memories , it would be a huge wave swallowing the land and darkness all around . But, EXO knows before what will happen and with their superpowers, they reverse the process and allow us to live peacefully in the future. It's a beautiful metaphor of their love to the fans and their ability to wash away any bad thing, using afection and loyalty as weapon 😊
