K-RAMEN from Walmart!

Its a stew that was made by Koreans and US soldiers during korean war. It usually was just a bunch of stuff throw together. Usually people put some spam or vienna sausages, baked beans, kimchi, cheese, veggies (mushrooms, cabbage etc)

For asian people reference: No they are not very spicy. It is a spicy soup but it’s not Spicy SPICY. Just normal spice

I think the idea behind the theme is Budae Jjigae, where it was when the korean military/populace would make kimchi stew out of US army canned meats(spam, sausages, etc.)

I saw this ramen at a different grocery store a year or so ago, but when they relocated they stopped carrying it. I was unable to get it a second time. When I did an online search for it, it was extremely expensive. I recently got quite a nice surprise when I saw it at my local Walmart. I was so excited! Anything Nongshim is good, but this is definitely a unique and great tasting Ramen with an interesting story behind it's origins. I am so grateful that you did a review of it! I've ordered a few other unique/interesting flavors online through their website, but unfortunately you have to order them by the case that way.

Worth a trip to WalMart to get some of this - hope I can find it. I like to add dried shrimp to ramen to kick it up a notch... find it in Hispanic food/spice department in cello packs... cheap. Welcome back from hibernation lol. Missed your vids & music. 5 Stars as always * * * * *

Great review Sticky, I actually had one of these last night for dinner. Picked them up at Walmart too for all of the reasons you said. 😂 Your review was on point. I did a little research on the K Army Stew and it was actually something that Korean civilians made up after the Korean war from things that they'd pick up from American Army bases like Spam and other American military fare. I added a hotdog to mine to make it more substantial.

Hi Sticky. Very interesting. I don't think our Wal Mart had that brand. Looks to spicy for me. A fishy taste, that sounds pretty good. I like shrimp ramen. Great review buddy 🤝👍
