If A person who is share holder in a certain PLC in Ethiopia with 10 percent of the total number of shares demands payment of annual dividends in profit : 1)what are the requirements for this demand to be responded positively both from share holders and applicable laws? 2)is such person's demand for payment of annual dividend subject to the majority vote decision of share holders with total aggregate More than 50percent to capitalize the budget years annual profit? @@MulugetaYifru It might not be a must for companies to go to the Ethiopian stock exchange to sell shares this can be done privately over the counter But starting this year the over the counter platform on which companies can sell their stock should get a license from the Capital market Authority and the ones selling stocks should also get the nod from ECMA before selling. The point is companies can sell outside of the exchange over the counter but with approval from the Regulator ECMA not the exchange
