Just spent like 2 hours doing this on a month old K1c bc of crealitys shitty craftsmanship all bc they didn’t tighten the nozzle all the way and allowed filament to cake around it thanks alot

The glue on the connectors on more recent machines was so strong that I was unable to remove any of the plugged connectors without damaging the board side of the connector. This is even after using an exacto knife to try to cut through it. I've owned three K1's now and this is the first one that is, for intents and purposes, not repairable due to this problem. There are two kinds of 3D printers, those that have a filament jam and those that are going to have a filament jam. This sort of repair/replacement needs to work, and it doesn't.

I turn wrenches, weld, machine, and redo wiring for a living. I've done a lot of tricky jobs in a lot of tricky places. Working inside the Creality K1 is like trying to weave a scarf from angel hair pasta upside down with both your arms stuck through a coat hanger. Step one, get your headlamp. Step two, place the thing on the ground and sit crisscross applesauce to prevent dislocation of shoulder from trying to do this shit on a table. Step 3, pretend that the hours you spent trying to complete the 1 minute and 39 second tutorial never happened.

They didnt show the part where you spend an hour trying to remove the potting compound they put around the connectors.

@stu4321 try using a pick or a small blade to carefully chip away at the yellow goo

@@danturismo thanks man I used a blade and the blue plyers. Pain in the arse tbh let's hope not broke any of the connections 🤞

For the horrible glue they use on the electrical connections I struggled forever finally just hovered a lighter under it for maybe 2 seconds enough to heat the glue and they pulled out good

this is the biggest design flaw in this machine - it's too hard to replace this part.

I unscrewed the hotend without holding the heatblock and pulled the wires out of the board, when the heat block started turning. Now I am trying to figure out how to get the two white wires back, this sucks!

Do I need special settings for the K1 in Creality Print 6.0 or can I use the old settings?

Mine had the hard tubing instead of the PTFE. Unscrew the extruder motor and it slides out. then reassemble

Am i meant to keep the PTFE tubing out when i put the extruder back?

Is there no heat pata - in the pckage there is a tube of it. Where do I have to put on the pasta?

Hello, Creality. What are the benefits of this exactly? Are we able to print hotter with having to worry less about heat creep issues? Id love your guys' opinion on this. I just purchased the third party planetary gear extruder for my k1c and if this is an upgrade I'd like to do it. I'm trying to turn my k1c into a printing beast as I'm not real happy with how often it crashes and clogs. When I scroll through my history, every page I have 10 prints. Every 10 prints my k1c crashes on me completely 3 out of 10 times. I scrolled through my history and out of 30 prints my k1c crashed at least 10 times. That is too much for me. Very frustrating, and discouraging. I'm hoping you guys get the firmware issues figured out soon as these issues make it hard for me to suggest to others to buy creality when I'm as frustrated as I am myself with you guys

Every connection in my printers head is covered in some kind of tacky superglue and I almost snapped the boards just unplugging stuff.

Pro tip: put on the lid. Turn the printer upside down. It will be much easier to perform those operations.

You mean the nozzle? K1c already has a nozzle, if you wanna replace it, you should buy a new one

K2 plus has a newer updated different design from this. Uses a longer unicorn type nozzle etc. Can't use K1 parts on the K2 plus
