I too have slow speed wobble on my 06 LT. Mine is a result of hitting pothole hard and not noticing bent rim for about a year. Fortunately, it never has bothered my tire wear or lifespan of tire(Shinko, currently at 10k miles). It looks like cost to straighten it out here in California will be about $200. Till then, I'll keep my hands on the handlebars.

I got the same effect on my GTR 1400. Also I used some model of Bridgestone tyres. All my bikes, who used these tyres behaved exactly the same. I am not saying that Bridgestone is bad tyres or something, but none of my bikes behaved like this, when I used Michelins. Never ever, even when the tyres were totally worn out at any speed. I would never dare to wear Bridgestone myself again.

I would agree with others on the wheel balance and alignment, but also the steering dampers should take the brunt of the wobble but don't seem to be???? did you ever get to the bottom of it?

Oj jävlar indeed. I recently got myself an old GSX1100F and it does the exact same thing at low-ish speeds, but the phenomenon remains at least up to 70-90km/h, perhaps even faster. If I don't grab the handle bars right away it just gets worse and worse. (There's a limit to how much I dare to test it...) Same thing before and after a new rear tire + re-balancing of front tire. Going to change the front tire soon, hopefully that will solve things.

+ziiofswe Also, I only did a static balancing, perhaps a 120 mm wide tire need dynamic balancing too to be sure? If that's the problem, it can only get worse the wider the tire is.

did you ever sort out what the reason for that wobble was? and did you get it fixed ?

I never got a clear answer but believe that the 1200 LT is very sensitive to tire model and with the combination of the suspension, tire wear and profile the chassis reacts like this. The behaviour seemed to change with tyres and wear. I do not have the bike since a few years.
