I really don't know why your channel hasn't blown up bro. I love the OBS chevys they are my favorite trucks and I love the work you put in to your truck. I think you should do some performance mods but keep up the good work.

autoparts stores sells those bypass hoses for 12-15 bucks already molded to that curve but people want to be cheap and they put a regular hose which causes that same heating problem after a couple of miles.

Yeah that's how much I got the molded hose for. Idk who would have put that cut hose on there...it was really weird.

I feel you man. I have a 2003 Silverado with the 6.0L. Love the truck to death but I started getting the reduced engine power over and over again. Long story short it was just a ground wire that needed to be replaced. Funny how the smalles of things cause huge problems.

thanks my 98 sierra z71 had similar issues today, i checked that hose then the radiator. I had no antifreeze. seems i have a small leak somewhere. I put a whole gallon in it and my heater works now.

Man I've changed my blower motor, my resister, the fuses , the control switch box ..still no heat ..I'm loosing my patients I live in anchorage alaska and its freaking freezing up here Mr Biggles Worth ! Trying coming out to your truck with no heat in 20 below weather ! I tell ya the drive back and forth to work sucks balls !!

Check your heater core and make sure you don't have a kink in any of your hoses like I did

@@BADZ71 ya I check the hoses both lines through the fire wall were hot idk if that's correct . Hoses seemed fine no kinks..everytime I turn to heat on all I hear are clicking sounds like something is trying to turn on but wont ..

Wish it was that easy for me I have to replace everything and I mean everything nothing works. The blend door. And the controls and the heater core. I’m replacing the hoses because why not

What temperature does you heat start to kick in now? My DMAX 98 Sierra doesn't get anything above ice cold until about 115 degrees.

Heat Problems: Always just grab the heater hoses first to ensure they are hot and coolant is getting to your heater. THEN check inside the cab for the problem(s).

I have a problem with mine. 95 1500 z71 I have heater and ac. Both only work on high. I got a different HVAC control from the junk and it’s the same thing only works on high. Do you know what it could be?

Most likely blower motor resistor.

Same prob in got heat but its not hot thinking my thremo is bad will spike to about 210 then drop back down an heat is just not hot. Like it should be

I found the knobs with that part number but year says 2008-2021 I have a 96

Yes they are off newer year model Express vans, but they have the same slot style and fit directly to the 96-98 HVAC controls on the OBS.

That hose comes out of the water pump how come you didn’t realize it was kinked when you changed out the water pump ? 🤔

If you would have listened to me one of the 3 times I told you to feel the heater core and see if it gets hot, you could've found that kink way before dumping money on things that weren't broken

I did feel it, lol I knew it wasn't getting hot that's when I went to the heater hoses. Either way, no one ever recommended that little one. On the plus side everything is brand new and nothing should happen for a good long time. Lol.
