OK, Creality did their homework here. Way nice feature!

Sounds very similar to tilt Z on my ratrig! Once the M8P comes in I’ll add triple z to my K1M and it should work similarly.. but may have to add an extra degree of freedom to the z rod mounts haha This is pretty sweet.
@3DRundown27 күн бұрын
Indeed. It's nice to see more and more of these features, previously only on mega industrial machines, or tinkerer's machines, come to consumer models, out of the box.

A question, I have been able to see that after a power outage in the middle of a print, the bed falls towards the base, You can do a test and verify that after powering on, it returns to its position and correctly resumes printing where it left off. Thank you .

This is how it's supposed to work. I have my doubts.... Yea, we can test this.

How is the leveling of the K2 Plus bed? My K1 Max bed warps when I heat it to 110 degrees Celsius to print ABS. I would like to know if this issue of the bed warping at higher temperatures has been resolved in the K2 Plus.

The K2+ has a much thicker bed

I've had my K2 plus for 10 days now. It's an impressive machine and a huge step up from my K1 MAX. I &ave huge problem. I'm unable to get a decent first layer because the bed has a huge bow in it. I will be working g with Creality support to hopefully replace the bed. I have read comments on other sites that others have had the same problem. I did need to do some tweaking of plastic stand offs on the K1 but it's printing a very nice e first layer. The trick is the bed is almost perf7flat. Not so with the K2.

Your ABL isn't handling the bed? How bad is it? What are your first layers looking like

First Creality machine for me and have question. Before I turn of machine off I press the Z "off" button on LCD, but as bed moves down the right side reaches bottom before the left side. When it stops the bed is skew. This does not seem normal to me. Anyone know what is happening here?
@3DRundown27 күн бұрын
You are turning off the steppers.... this allows the bed to freely move. Don't do that. Just turn it off.
@jsmith718327 күн бұрын
@@3DRundownthanks for reply, even if I just turn off the machine the bed does not return to the bottom level. Measure about 2 degrees off. Should I worry?

Has your unit shown any sign of z-banding? I've noticed a lot of people experiencing z-banding and thinking it's because this machine uses 2 instead of 3 leadscrews
@3DRundownАй бұрын
None at all. Printing very clean...

@3DRundown what sort of thing(s) can cause z-banding with this machine; could it addressed easily with a DIY approach or is it something that's dependent/proprietary to Creality?

Any idea how to make the pitch of the bed more rigid? (i.e. if you push in the front middle of the bed. I know the arrangement has been done before, but also seeing that some units are less rigid in this axis than would be expected. I don't have my K2P yet to have a look, myself.

Not something I have looked into at all. Keep in mind, it's rock solid when engaged, and only moveable, when unpowered.

@philipershler420Ай бұрын
@@arusiasottoI believe that the K1 adaptation of the CFS will ultimately arrive. Right now Creality can sell K2s faster than they can produce and ship them. So there doesn’t seem to be much of a need to push it. Also, as more K2s get out into the world, there are bound to be reports of problems that will need to be resolved. The “take home message”, don’t hold your breath waiting, you might turn very blue.

I rather see it uses the top for leveling the bed, at the nozzle. If the bottom is not perfect, the level is still a bit off. I have printers that do that 👍and it works great! 😁Thanks for showing this.
@courtk6142Ай бұрын
In my experience the bed is getting very level BUT I"d prefer Voron style with 4 corner leveling.
@MrHeHimАй бұрын
Generally you want the frame/tool square and then tram the bed. That way your prints don't come out skewed. I also have bed leveling fade off at the 0.8mm layer height, as my bed only has a variance of >0.23 (300mm x 300mm). Voron printers have a stationary bed and the gantry has a separate motors for each corner, IMO that's too much going on for problems to propagate.. BUT no one seems to have any issues so I'm just being paranoid lol. I have a heavily moded Sermood D1 with similar bed leveling. Unfortunately it's a half measure that should really be either 3 separate motors to properly self level both in X and in Y or a single motor that you only have to level once manually (like in the Bambu Core XY printers).
@3DRundownАй бұрын
It also does strain-gauge and AI camera inspection, during calibration.
@dropbear9785Ай бұрын
I also thought that tramming the bed to the Gantry where the head is would make more sense. I can't recall the printer I saw do it, but all of the motion system referenced the frame where the print head was mounted....so the lower parts of the printer don't matter much as long as the frame for the head end assembly is true.
