SOOOOO here's what happened. He stressed one of the bolt holes for the half shaft bracket. That led to a crack that ended up windowing the block. On his casual 2-3 shift the stressed block portion that holds the half shaft finally let go. During the #2 pistons travel up/down it caught that windowed chunk and he broke the piston skirt and fractured the rod. The #2 main bearing looked fine. The wrist pin still had acceptable clearance and moved freely. This motor let go because of something NOT related to sheer power at the moment things went bad. Thank you for sharing the teardown video. The video evidence tells the entire story

I remember seeing Derek from IMW doing the same thing to his engine that made 720+ stock block as well, rod caps stayed in tact but the rod left the chat lol, pretty cool to see that failure repeated, just found the limit of the rod itself

You can't reuse the main bolts or head bolts because they are torqued to yield. Anything with a degree in the specs is torqued to yield. Tq specs that just use ft-lbs can be Reused because the bolts are torqued close to yield so you can reuse hardware that only have a ft-lbs in them. Main or griddle bolts are cheap from honda. Headstuds just get sir. #kistheway

The real question,What kind of oil do you use for the it, and which viscosity? The engine is cleaner than the engine of my car that I use daily.
