My k2000r was having trouble booting up. So I thought I would replace the capacitors in the PSU and whilst it was apart why not swap the display for a more high contrast type from www.ebay.co.uk/sch/muzikelektr...

Nice job there! I have a K2000R non V2 that's probably due for a recap too.... this gave me some motivation :D Cheers mate.

Thank you for this video and taking us step by step trough the recap process. I have a K2000vx keyboard and mine has very bad caps as well. I now know what I need to do to get it fixed. Cheers from Belgium!

Is it fairly easy to replace the front panel buttons? I’ve got the keyboard version and there’s some buttons that aren’t working very well. Useful to see the video and how they are in the rack. Thinking while it’s apart may as well upgrade the screen as well! Looks a lot better with that changed!

So meticulous! What are the values and make of the caps if I may ask ?
@nitrogen7303 жыл бұрын
33000uf (C202) primary 5V filter 4700uf (C192) and 1000uf (C190) smoothing caps use any brand, preferred 105c or better rated, instead of 85c

Obviously you did this a while ago but I'm about go through the same process with my K2000RS. I have documented the cap values but I'm a little unsure about the lead spacing. Do you happen to have a list of the exact caps you used... i.e. the part numbers for Mouser or Digi-Key etc.?
