Love the special effects! When balancing the pistons you can remove material from inside the wrist pins and match them to each piston. Worked a treat on my last build as I had one piston 5 grams less than the rest.

Love your videos, I'm thinking of building a naturally aspirated k20z4 engine with 12.5:1 compression with skunk2 ultra 1 cams and supertech 1mm oversized valves on the intake side. Questions: 1. Should I use a cast or forged piston for my Honda k20z4 engine? 2. is 12.5:1 compression not too high for pump fuel and what compression do you recommend for my n/a pump fuel setup on skunk2 ultra 1 cams? 3. Can I use the stock rods with a cast of forged piston? If not, do I install or h or I beam rods?

Hey aren't you supposed to clock the rings a certain degrees on when installing it? Watched another video and they mention when install make sure there clocked base on the repair manual

I did do that, I can't remember but I probably didn't go into detail in the video. I definitely made sure to clock the rings 👍

What are some good forged rods and pistons I should use in my k24a4 in my 03 Accord coupe.

I like the idea of weighing pistons and rods and putting lighter piston and heavier rod. I was gonna grind rods but probably will go this route. What would you gap the rings for a 87.5 wiesco 2618 piston k24 with darton dry sleeves. Will be boosted to 25 to 28psi I come up with .025 top ring and .024 2nd but being told thats to big of gap

No. Every new set of rings has to be gapped

I have a k20 head . But it has nothing to do with bore size. If it was 87mm or 87.5mm I could have used the stock k24 head or the k20 head. You can change pistons and go up to 87.5mm and still use your stock head .

As look as the pistons you find will work with the stock head you'll be fine. Find forums of people talking about this stuff on google
