K53 Motorcycle Licence (Passed)

Video shows what to expect when going for you motorcycle licence in South Africa, this video only shows the yard test and not the pre-inspection test as well.
I went for two classes prior to the licence test and passed my licence on the first try. Remember to always check the blind spots! All in all it was easy.

For the first procedure, how accurately do you need to stop on the "cross"

tThanks for the video dude, very detailed and informative i just passed my test on Monday, but just so people know, its definitely not the same everywhere, so the must check other K53 videos to get an idea of the differences, but otherwise helmet mounted cameras are the way to go to know exactly what needs to be done.

howzit gents, just remember to only use your front break for stopping during the test except for the emergency brake, just failed my test because I used my back and front break for the swerve on a rainy day and my bike slid out from under me Goodluck everyone, practice hard I believe in you.

hey there im thinking of getting a bike so i booked my written test and so on but what happens after that cuz i have a 250cc in mind what could i expect as to my approach to the driving test do i need my own bike or is one give and if so can i apply to ride a 250cc immediately cuz im not keen on a scooter or anything like that, ill obviously get lessons aswell cuz i have no experience whatsoever but i need as much info as possible as to what to do after the written test maybe if you can even make a video about that it would be greatly appreciated, hope to be hearing from you soon

Roman Engelbrecht by written test I assume you mean your learners license? In South Africa if you are older than 18 and in possession of a valid motorcycle learners license you are allowed to ride any bike, if you are younger than 18 your are allowed on any motorcycle up to 125cc. In both scenarios mentioned above you are not allowed to have a pillion on the bike. When going for your license(not written learners license) you have two options: 1. Take your own bike 2. Borrow one form a driving school. There are 2 types of bike licenses: A1 and A A1- limited to 125cc A- no limitation on size So when you do go for your license go with a manual bike above 125cc, if you are above 18, so that you can do the A license. Before I went, I attended 2 practical classes from a driving school, and did some practice sessions on my own. I went with a big bike as that was the bike I was comfortable on, it would have been a lot easier with a smaller bike. If you do not have a lot of riding experience I would suggest that you first get a learners license, it is valid for 24 months, in this time you will be able to practice and ride on the road with your bike. Then if you are comfortable with your bike you can either go for a couple of classes with a driving school or do some research and watch this video and then go. Please note that this video is not the complete test as there is a vehicle pre-inspection before the actual test starts. Hope that answers all your questions. Good luck.
