The tank looks heavy as it is being removed. Does the gas need to be drained to remove the tank? If it does need to be drained, best way? Tnx for the helpful video. I have had the additional gauges since new in 1995, but may have a thermo sensor issue related to the bike not restarting when it is 100F plus outside. This explains a lot.

Hi, Just about to do this job, I have all the sensors in place and the temp sensor wire but my main loom is different to yours. Are you able to advise? Thanks

Hi John, I think you mean the "Auxillary cable" (shown in start of video-picture). Not sure if a different one will work or not. Some people make there own cable I have seen on the internet. Otherwise it is still available on e-bay. Does this help? Good luck, sure you will get the job done.

hi John. according to k75 wiring diagram, from left to right, 1st cable is brown ( negative/ground). 2nd cable is brown/blue - positive from ignition sw port 58E , plus on instrument lights 3rd cable is yellow > fuel level sensor 4th cable is green/black - positive from fuse 1 - positive front brake sw, positive for external heated grips, dashboard lights, clutch sw Fuel gauge is simple : 1, 3 and 4 Temp is 1, 4, and Return from water temp sensor ( + ) to your gauge. hope it helps.

Where did you get the gauge mounts for the handle bar?

Hi, I made them myself, bending and drilling in a 2 cm metal strip. And then using screws and bolts to attach to handle bar.

Are this gauges aftermarket or this was optional for all K-series?

Optional for the later series K75, earlier optional for K100, K1100.
