In all seriousness the Ka is actually looking like a lovely car. You definitely need to get some rust converter atleast on that fuel cap rust. The spoiler suits the car in the same black trim colour. 👍

That grating noise from the steering wheel is a worn clockspring. Spray some white lithium grease in the gap behind the centre section where the Ford badge is. That will probably stop the grating sound, but you'll need to replace the clockspring soon.

The Rust round the petrol cap is a common problem as you probably know. Try and get that treated and filled as soon as you can or get it cut out and replaced. I think you can buy a small repair panel for that area. I cleaned and under sealed that area on ours. So far I’ve kept the rust at bay. Great little Channel on the Ka, keep up the good work 😎👍

Its the clock spring, had it on my Fiesta when I changed the steering wheel to a leather one. Easy to do, just need to take the wheel off. Would be ideal if you had the old steering wheel still as you can just put the one from that one on Also, I like the cassette deck. Getting it back in the Fiesta soon too hopefully

Lol my 1.6i Sport Ka does exactly the same thing, ill tell you right now its the stalks rubbing on the steering column, you need to replace your stalks mate.... No going about it soz.... Your dad is obviously a legend and ragged your motor mate... In the meantime i have the CD dash if you wanna make me an offer tis straight from my original Sport Ka, I am currently looking to sell the unit as i want to upgrade to a single din dash kit so i can fit my flip up dvd player.
