KA24E Lifter Tick Quick Exam

I've been having a lifter tick issue that's also causing a "Subaru" sounding exhaust, which tells me that I have a valve either not opening completely, or not at all. I've removed the valve cover and had a look at the lifters.
On cylinder 2, one of the intake lifters won't retain pressure. I just made this quick video with my phone to show some people. Not sure if it'll be of any use to anyone else.

Its the lifters / rocker arms! Replace the one you pushed down by removing the v cover and taking the rods that hold the rockers and replace! Sometime someone that rebuilds the motor forgets to torqe the bolts down to 18 ft pounds each and in the right order which wont work right! Just replace the rocker arms ( the bad ones) and b4 you put the rockers on the rod soak in new oil to bled the air! Tighten to spefication and warm up and drive

Can you just tighten them down? What did you do to fix it?

Great video. Where did you get the new lifter? Can you remove it from the rocker arm to replace it?

When to the wrecking yard to pick up some rocker arms how to i know if their bad? Or good?? Found a set that had no play on them when installed but when i took them off the head the little plunger on the rocker are very stiff. Is that normal?

How do you fix the problem? I have the same problem, i want to fit it too when i do the noise timing chain.

yea id say the lifters are the problem if the exhaust sounds like a subaru
