Arcades was my first EDH deck and remains one of my favourites to pilot. It was a great game, but I agree in regards to seeing "the same" cards. Sometimes fast mana seems a little groan worthy.

Great game! And personally, I am not a fan of the higher powerlevel. Then again, I am pretty picky in this regard.

Apex of Power only gives mana if cast from the hand, so since it was in exile it wouldn't have done much if Mizzix was short on colored mana.

but casting it would have given a bunch of exp counters. Would still need the coloured mana for spells tho so meh

I think I like right around this power level the most. Just below cEDH because nobody plays the hard to interact with 2 card combos but combos are fine. Lots of interaction so the person who is the combo player (me) doesn’t just win on the spot

Higher power level is fun because full of interaction but the excess of ramp reduce the cardpool and variety in deck not adding anything to the fun or gameplay experience...make deck full of interaction but leave the boring fast mana at home
