I agree! I'm not the biggest Maiden fan but I do like them a lot. I'm a drummer so I keep up with Nicko. I love his drum set up, his style of playing, and the sound of his drums and cymbals. Most of all I love his personality. I've watched several interviews and live clips of him at his restaurant and or his drum shop and he is always so cordial and friendly. It's refreshing to see a famous person that's actually happy. Rock on Nicko!!

Being from 88 myself, SSoaSS is without a doubt my #1 but my 2nd love is SIT! I don't care what they play though, I love maiden. I'd actually love to hear their more obscure stuff like deja vu, total eclipse, the duelists and without a doubt what nicko said, Alexander the great.

FOR PPL ASKING! The REASON why maiden doesn't play ALEXANDER THE GREAT live is because ADRIAN SMITH. He said in an interview a while back that he could not remember/or could play the solo live. I see people asking that all the time on forums, and sites. I wanna see To Tame A Land, Fates Warning and some unplayed Blaze Era songs maiden hasn't done with Bruce like Como Estias Amigos, The Educated Fool, The Aftermath etc.

With the use of technology, these guys can keep doing big stadium shows that can be live broadcasts to other stadiums. They can do several shows a year from one place. , no traveling. But still getting good live shows out to fans all over the world. Much easier on old metal bones.

What a cool dude. Always liked him. I remember when I started listening to Maiden and my parents said that all these filthy guys just make noise and shoot Marijuana all day. They thought I would just be a short period for me and metal. 30 years now and I still haven't changed to RnB. I became wider but still like them old filthy motherfokkers. Nicko is just a gentleman. My band plays Alexander the Great! We play it exactly as the original version, and I'm the bass player! I think the reason why maiden don't play it is because it is a very fast song on the bass guitar in the instrumental part after the second chorus. You can use a 3rd finger, but it won't sound the same. So, maybe Steve is becoming lazy, haha! But I don't think so. Because Steve is a fuckin' god. PS: The crowd always react very positive when we play that song!
