Cory from slipknot, bullet, lamb of God, Micheal from the contortionist, Meshuggah (30 years and sounding better than ever) etc, all great examples of learning to be a professional vocalist through proper technique and guarantee long term success without “losing the voice.” Also anyone hoping for WTF days still. Everyone that rags on Matt for not sounding the same as he did 20 years ago needs to understand that he's older now and he's using a far better and safer technique than what he was doing for about a decade, which is what he described and he was also mainly singing in the tenor range, which while it sounded awesome wasn't good for vocal longevity as he's a natural baritone. He made the right choice choosing to learn a safer technique because it's already made him sound far better than he did during their last tour 6 years ago when he fucked up his voice again and as long as he sticks to it, he'll be fine
