The emotion you put into this... I just love your work. This gets so many emotions running through me. This song brings back so many nostalgic moments playing this with loved ones who are no longer alive. Thank you man, I appreciate all that you do.

Out of all the covers for this song on iTunes, this is by far the best. I got this song a few months ago, but it came on shuffle driving home from work and it just hit way differently. I work nights, so listening to this while still dark out, little to no traffic, and just the lights from stores, street lamps, and houses made this song seem even way more serene. Thanks so much for the cover, and the beautiful moment I shared listening to it ❤️

You literally have a video of every song I'm planning to play, I am playing or have played. This serves as massive inspiration for me. It's beyond me how you can have such a small following. Are you promoting your covers on other videos? If not, I'm positive that you'd get quite a bit more followers in a short period of time. As for the piece at hand...beautifully played.
@jeremyngpiano10 жыл бұрын
Thanks, your comment means much to me. I love it when I know I can be a source of inspiration to others across the globe, even if just a small handful. "It's beyond me how you can have such a small following." >> Ironically, this is also the kind of comment that keeps me going. Nope, I'm not promoting my channel on other videos. I've tried just once though, as an experiment. It was on one of ThePianoGuys' recent videos. Ideally, I'd like to just focus on making great videos. And to keep getting better at what I do.
@MusixPro4u10 жыл бұрын
***** "Ideally, I'd like to just focus on making great videos. And to keep getting better at what I do." I see where you're coming from. I do. But the reality is, that very few people get a big following just by mere skill. It'd be a shame not to take advantage of the opportunities social media presents, to promote your channel in a way you can get behind and see where this journey could take you. It need not be a scam or a dishonest bait. Just a short, friendly reminder.
@jeremyngpiano10 жыл бұрын
I understand totally. The keyword there is "ideally". And I _am_ on social media. I still have plans for growing the channel so you can be sure that I won't just be focusing on the video creation part. :)
@MusixPro4u10 жыл бұрын
***** I know you're on social media. Sorry for being unclear. I liked your fb page today. I should've said youtube comments on other peoples videos. Yes, ideally, but very unlikely. I'd hate leaving it to chance, considering the odds. "I still have plans for growing the channel so you can be sure that I won't just be focusing on the video creation part. :)" Glad to hear that. :)
@jeremyngpiano10 жыл бұрын
John Ny First of all, thanks for the support and liking the page. :) I do leave comments on other videos, much the same way I do with my personal growth blog (commenting on other blogs of a similar niche) when I was still writing there. But when it comes to self-promotion type of comments, I haven't been doing much. Neither do I send private messages to other potentially interested channels, requesting for them to "check out my new video". I dunno, this is something I have to think about. And if I do eventually start self-promotion, I will also have to think about how I will go about doing it. I believe there is a right way and a wrong way to do it. "Yes, ideally, but very unlikely. I'd hate leaving it to chance, considering the odds." >> I agree, me too.

Have always liked this and it is one that I have played, but it's been a while. I will probably revive it for a video someday. You do a great job on it!

This is one of my favourites too, and also one that I rerecorded for video! I deleted the previous one on my channel because it was audio-only. I thought it would be hard to match up to the previous standard but I'm actually really satisfied with how this one turned out.

Yup, of course. I think I've had this more or less memorized when I recorded it.

Goodness your rendition sounds almost exactly like the actual song. I just bought a 61 key keyboard to learn piano. Do you think I'll be able to play this song with such a small range of keys? All videos I see of this song seem to be on 70+ key piano's. Thanks in advance!
@jeremyngpiano9 жыл бұрын
I don't think so! You can always check the sheets. But if you're just starting to learn piano, I wouldn't recommend learning this any time soon anyway.
@Kei-oy9fc6 жыл бұрын
Man... I've been trying to learn this piece for several months (since the time I started learning how to play the piano and music theory) but when I listen to the way you play it... it seems so much better and right😕 May I ask how long have you been playing the piano and how you usually learn your pieces?
@jeremyngpiano6 жыл бұрын
I've been playing for... a long time... "how you usually learn your pieces?" >> It would be helpful if you could be more specific.
@Kei-oy9fc6 жыл бұрын
Jeremy Ng Ahhh sorry I just realised my question was really off... I meant something more like "How long do you take to learn a piece?" And "How do you play it well? What do you think is the best way to improve?"
@jeremyngpiano6 жыл бұрын
It's okay. Most of the stuff I learn here on my channel take anywhere between a few days up to 2 weeks. I guess when you say my version sounds 'so much better and right', it's because I learn by listening to a lot of piano music, including interpretations of classical music by world-class pianists. I pay close attention to how they shape music. I'd say listening to recordings has been one of my best teachers.

I'm confused, this is not the "Memory of Light and waves" music I remember to have heard in the actual game, is similar but definitely a rework, though, I noticed many are the videos playing this music, why? (Great skills though)

The arrangements from the official Piano Collections books don't always follow the OST. The ones from the Piano Opera books do follow the OST quite faithfully though.

@touyert91406 жыл бұрын
I'm pretty sure he put in a lot of emotion into playing this and his use of dynamics and tempo is spot on. He couldn't of had played this piece more better than he already had.
@chaseleoncini9176 жыл бұрын
I think he plays better now. I challenge him to repeat the piece to see for himself that it comes out better. A little less theatrics and a bit more emotion and it will surprise him. Don’t get all bent out of shape. Constructive criticism with a hint of poor humor never killed anyone.
